I change my route if I see a dog on a corner of the street .

He is not only brave but also intelligent, at first he was also thinking of running but soon figured out it wont work but to hold ground against bully dogs is the key so he did manage to scare them away.
In Punjabi there is a saying Kuta Paway te beh jao (if dog chases you don't run).
