Pakistani cab driver praying on the top of his cab

My response was serious. How many of the topics in your Scrolls do you know the meaning of?

We are nothing by mud and water mixed together. You may have it different, as I dont know much about Hinduism. We only use like what 10% of our brains?

Come on. Public display of devotion is no more better or worse. It all depends on you actual intention of knowing why you are doing what you are doing.

Well the only thing i liked is the guy's shalwar kameez. At least some of our people don't loose identity.

As far as the prayer part is concerned, the guy should go to a mosque nearby. He is a taxi driver, and he can drive there. Don't tell me now that there is no islamic centre or mosque in New York...
Frankly, praying outside is like showing off. If he really wanted to prayer than he could have done prayer by sitting down in his car...

Explain these to other muslims who are showing disaproval of it, even 100 percent of my brain cant fathom what you are saying.
But I hope you understand we are discussing an act of an Individual, and can try to predict thought process behind his action.
Just because it is prayer does not mean we cannot understand motive behind "his" action.

i saw, once on local bus stand, muslim driver getting time for prayer.it looked good.

you are one confused boy...
at the start of the comment you say "its his deed"

at the middle you change to condemnation..

at the end you almost equate this to having sex on the street with a teenage girl...

This KarachiPunk guy is retarted.
I had many confrontations with him and later i learned that its always best to ignore. I appreciate you are trying to correct him, but believe it or not, he is not the type of guy that will listen.
In many posts, he had a rude language and in some, he wrote stuff, which only showed his English being very poor.

... The matter of Prayer or "Ibadat" is between you and your Lord. ...
Has the Lord given you a revelation? 3ibaadah is both public and private. Or you should promise yourself you shall never perform the Hajj, never go to a Salaat bil jamaa3ah, never fast with the global community in ramaDhaan.

dhakii ain't so dhakii!

Honestly you people are too quick to dish out Fatwaa after fatwaa...
Try doing anything like this ever and you will realize that its not easy...and you never get praised for doing this..and thats why Showing off is out of question....Dont believe me,look at this thread...Nobody praising him,and the snarls and comments you get for doing anything like this in real life makes you wonder what has happened to people...Shove your hand up your girl friend's skirt in full public view and nobody is bothered....Pray to your God in Public and you are a villian...
People cant wear Shalwar qameez while going to Jumaa prayer purely because they are ashamed of their origins..Praying on the street is an impossible..
Its not always easy to go to a mosque, specially when you are working for money and the mosque is an hours drive away....

yes it depends on one's intention but no educated guy will do something like this, because he knows what others will thing, islam doesnt make one guy a barbarian,it is a religion of civilization teaches attiquetes, morals and responsibilities towards other people

the people who are dillusioned by fakeislam dont even dress alright because they think wearing dirty cloths is according to islamic modesty, no educated guy will ever pray as this guy is praying, also praying is some responsibility which should be done with all ettiquetes its like god is infront of you and are displaying all ettiquetes, praying like that displeases Allah imho

Although i wont do a religious joke..But this one was done on purpose as a joke..and yes it is funny..

Technically speaking..we are not allowed to block other people's way for our prayer..Its against other peoples rights...
But the taxi driver ion question does not seem to be pulling a Prank..or blocking somebody's way..

so both cannot be compared.

I never said someone praying in public is a villain. When you know this is not your country or any other islamic country then maybe it is best you try to follow what other people follow do. What is next? Azaan in loud speakers? That will be a good thing, but unfortunately, that is against the law in the Western world. Perhaps muslims should take the best interest to be have some sort of ethics.
The mosque is not hours away. Its New York, and there are islamic centres and mosques...
I do realize that the guy is doing a difficult job. However, when you know this is not your country, then maybe he should instead pray inside the car in a realistic manner...
I don't know what mosques you go to, but people are ashamed to wear shalwar kameez in Public. Its the opposite of what you are saying here. In the western world, including the U.K (your place of residence), people prefer wearing shalwaar kameez in mosques...

Yaar, why? :hitwall: What he did is inappropriate and unnecessary because the surrounding around him and risk associated with it. He could have fall from taxi and got hurt. Sometime some muslims like to draw unwanted attention. He could have been ambushed by mobs for god sake.

He could have simply pray in side the car sitting on his seat. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave him that option yet chose not to. He has committed Gunnah.

This was unnecessary and the public sphere should not be used as a prayer space.
