Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, which oversees the mint, uses organised networks including those run by its clients like Dawood Ibrahim, LeT, besides international criminal networks to push fake currency into India.

In a report to government and RBI, intelligence agencies had claimed a few years ago that Pakistan machinery had achieved "zero-error counterfeit capability" in printing fake Indian notes.

Many in their hatred and inability to not be Pakistan centric are forgetting that the entire center and crux of this move was to combat black money and corruption money.

I am sure you must have read about an Indian officer whose house was raided and money was found everywhere even in his shoes!

This move will basically bring majority of the black money under accounting say anybody has done huge amounts of corruption's and has stashed bucket loads of thousands and 500s now he will be stuck as if he goes to the bank with those notes, he will come under lime light and check as to where he got so much wealth.

His second move was not creating new notes of 500-1000 but 2000 notes. The money is under greater scrutiny.

It has massive side effects and raises massive issues but it definitely hits the corruption money and black money and hits it hard.

But as usual its gotten a pakistan twist and its all about pakistan. Had hay waisay

Pakistan did discard few such notes due to inflation and few more denominations are going to be shelved soon while India is doing the same due to Pakistan??
