Pakistan withdraws official from High Commission in Dhaka

Ask the Bengalis. They are the one who caught him red-handed :D
See! Now you running like Bi Jamalo:lol: BD forever post some where" I don't know everything " now you better say ASK some Indians, wo apke kuch ziyada sagge hain:wink:

.
It is most likely that the Pakistani diplomat was helping the BNP and Jamaat but has been instead accused of sponsoring terrorist groups in BD.

LOL. IF that diplomat had done "nothing" wrong, there was NO need for him to be removed from office! :D

Kan nazdeek karo Zara............ Whispering whispering.............
Ab samjhe? Don't tell no one mulki secret hai:wink:

unsurprisingly, the reasons for this news range from BD becoming a satellite state of India to Hasina taking revenge from the opposition. No mention of the serious charges alleged against the officer.

Was he another non-state actor distributing fake currency? :P

because your diplomat intervened, read up there

Hold on, if a diplomat can get a criminal released, than what is the point of having Criminal Law in Bangladesh? This is simply not possible, if a criminal is caught red handed and if that criminal does not enjoy diplomatic immunity, no amount of diplomatic pressure can get that criminal released. This story sounds quite absurd.

Obviously to a Pakistani anything is absurd. Cmon when was the last time any allegation was investigated? Even Osama hiding in Pakistan was an absurd news to many. This is just peanuts.

The news state that he was arrested outside, and as soon as the individual steps outside the premise of the diplomatic office he can be arrested if he does not enjoy diplomatic immunity. The story does not make any sense what so ever, but lets for argument sake believe that he was engaged in illegal activities, than shame on the authorities for letting him go. This made a mockery of the Justice System of Bangladesh, as far as i am concerned he should have been hanged.

Nops, to any reasonable person this would be absurd. An individual who was caught engaging in illegal activities without any diplomatic immunity was not arrested and tried, now that is a mockery of the Justice System.

Read this from the report

He was detained by Banani police on Jan 12 with one of his accomplices while having a secret meeting.
He was released soon after when a Pakistani diplomat Samina Mahtab intervened.
But his accomplice Mujibur Rahman, who remained in police custody, divulged some details of his currency forgery racket.

Obviously the law cannot arrest and detain an official indefinitely without any proof. The other guy gave some details of the dealing of the official who was then asked to leave.

It is quite simple, I do not know what makes it so complex that you find it absurd.

Indeed, but they could have arrested him and hold him for a certain period of time to complete their investigation? Put him on the ECL until the investigation was over. Complete incompetence on part of the authorities to have let this individual leave the country. This is what i find absurd, that the individual was allowed to leave the country without any hitch. If there was reasonable suspicion that the individual was involved in illegal activity, he should have been arrested. Period

Idle situation is something what we do not face in the real world.

The diplomat came to the rescue as would any official would do, the allegation though is serious of counterfeit and accused by a host country is serious.

Well, question raised here Can host police raid on a diplomatic office? I'm not an expert on these things.
