'Pakistan will respond to intrusion in befitting manner'

Respond in a befitting manner? Possibly by looking the other way? Respond with What? like they did in Abbotabad?

abootabad operation was done by their permission and Pakistani forces knew everything about it and even all the reports suggest the same thing

At the cost of digressing a wee bit..

Is it being suggested that Pak ' forces' knew Uncle Sam was coming for OBL ?

If so, it would imply that Pak ' forces' knew OBL was in Pak.

If they were unaware of OBL but n=knew of the mission, what did they think the Choppers were coming for next to PMA in the middle of the night ?

Or, was this post a feeble attempt to defend the indefensible ?

don't know if they knew exactly about Osama which I think they knew but they knew everything about operation sir

The decision to shoot down a drone is for the federal government alone...there is no way one can blame the PAF for it.

Blame the Army, makes sense...since they have a main role in Foreign policy and other WoT related stuff, but not the PAF.

Deciding to engage the US military machine is not to be taken lightly. Internet warriors can shoot from the hip, but people in charge of a country's arsenal need to be mindful of the consequences. It's not pretty, but sometimes you have to swallow your pride and accept the ground realities.

As for the Indian planes, again, internet warriors notwithstanding, countries should not react emotionally. The Indian fighters were tracked and left without incident. Case closed.

Things change with time. Don't go with the logic of "man behind the machine", often peddled here, accompanied with redundant historical examples. Nowadays war-machines are way better than any man, and we're short on these. There is absolutely no comparison today, and tomorrow looks even darker. Best way out of it, focus on economy so we can buy more of these goodies and train our people.

Hollow speeches won't cut it anymore, we as a nation better start analyzing the facts and not take what is fed to us at face-value.

you are right on what you are saying, but i was looking at it from other perspective. for past few years they have been silent on every thing, be it salala attack, 2nd may operation, Mehran base attack or kamra attack, on every single moment they have been silent, I don't recall PAF chief taking a hard stance and give out clear messages like they are doing now.
This could be like "taking initiative".....we need to work economy as you said, get AWACs / AWECs , drone tech, 5th gen fighter etc.
but on the other hand they need to work on base security too.

For "base security", you need nothing more than common sense. Which unfortunately they lack. What a shame.

Lol, I agree. The worst comment by PAF official statements, they are coward shameless in my opinion after Salala/Abbottabad incidents.

JFT first time exercises doesnt mean anything, it takes another twenty years to grow more matures and more harsh trainings.

I think we have got our priorities wrong ,the point to ponder here is not why they couldn't have stopped salala or abbotabad from happening or shoot down drones, you cannot afford a military confrontation with the U.S/Nato period. nothing shameful in that, its just the Hard reality, however, what one should be worried about is that why PAF failed, where it could have easily prevented an incident such as mehran or karma attack from taking place in the first place ? that in my opinion is the biggest failure of the PAF, & the Military establishment respectively & it is a serious one. & there is just no excuse for that. & a statement cannot restore the confidence which the people have lost in them, PAF will have to do much more then that, especially when it has failed to protect its assets (AWACS,P-3C's) & here I completely agree with @Hyperion
