the Militants know they cannot fight a conventional war where the opponent is heavily outnumbered and employs the latest tanks,fighter planes. The militants will shift their operations or lie down low. Once the army returns to the barracks,the militants will once again resume their operations. Even the Nato troops on the Afghan border cannot bring stability despite staying for more then a decade

We are not Afghanistan and our operations have forced likes of TTP etc to flee to Afghanistan, where India is facilitating them to their best. Its our country and our Army can stay anywhere in Pakistan to extent they want. Also when TTP has lost its sanctuaries and safe heavens these areas then all they could do is operate from Afghanistan. Having said so we have already trained our FC on footings of a fighting arm and we can easily draw down as many regular soldiers we want from the cleared areas.

The list of military operation conducted by armed forces against the militants include Operation Al-Mizan, Operation Rah e Haq, Operation Zalzala, Operation Black Thunderstorm, Operation Raah-e-Raast, Operation Sher Dil, Operation Rah-e-Nijat, Operation Koh-e-Safaid and Operation Zarb-e-Azb

Only one operation Operation Raah-e-Raast was somewhat sucessfull

Plz understand the very nature of these operations.They were designed to flush likes of TTP from these areas and at last they were holed up in North Waziristan and Tirah Valley. That was when Ops Zarb-e-Azb was launched to deprive them of all of their remaining strongholds. Anyone having any knowledge of military operations would appreciate our strategy in this regard.

Ok, Pak Army tested & evaluated many Russians arms and inducted many of those systems but all Russian weaponry is either not suitable for our requirements or does not fulfill the standards of Pak Army. My point is for PDF friends that we should not make long wishlists out of Russian weaponry. Armed Forces will never purchase huge number of weapon platforms. I think space for a Russian jet is also very narrow.
