This is what I have been saying for the longest time. Pakistan and Iran need to join forces to face off any Western onslought. Today, the West is threatning Iran with Military attacks but every Pakistani knows that Pakistan will be in the Crosshairs of the US after they are done with Iran. A Pakistan-Iran alliance will make the NATO think twice about launching any attacks.

indeed, a partnership is in the best interest of both pakistan and iran. given their proximity, both countries can seriously harm each other - if either wants a huge fight with the other, it is certainly in a position to have the fight and the other party doesn't even have a chance to say no because this is just the way it is given the geography. on the other hand, neither is big enough to dominate the other (unlike pakistan and india, the latter seeking to dominate the subcontinent and strip pakistan of every shred of dignity and security). if two countries can really badly hurt each other but are of equal stature and power, they must choose to be hearty friends - that is what iran and pakistan are really made for, and nothing else makes sense to these two nations.
