It seems over last 6-7 years Pakistan has lost that , centeral pillar type player who can hold an inning together

Someone who can successfully play 10-17 overs , while keeping the score moving and not mere dot balls.

• Gone are the days of smooth 40-60 runs from Mohammad Yousif or that depandable stance by Inzimam Ul Haq nice 70-80+ runs or even Miandad who can stay on crease from One down to last player on field

And don't recall a solid 110-120 run partnership by Pakistani openers unless on dead pitches of UAE

Apart from Azhar (Technically capable only 1 player who we can say is world standard)
and may be Babar Azam

The rest of the players lack ability to stay on field and enjoy the pressure

• Australian strengths is to highlight your weakness , OVERALL they feed on Pakistani batsmen love of DOT balls , they normally self destruct due to it or Over Hyper shots and most players are (COUGHT in field)

Pakistan had reduced Austrlaia to 120 / 5 as well but we lacked the finishing ability the instinct to kill the game around 160-180 mark. We tend to keep those 5 Amir overs saved till end and not finish the issue immediately

Pakistani batsmen played to their expected potential 15-25 runs average while some of the australian players coming at 7th or 8th have averages of 36 runs

• Big GAP in technical ability it is so wide and visible that it feels like how we used to feel playing against UAE or Bangladesh some time in distant past that win is gurenteed

PS: The muscular strength of batsmen also is in favor of Australians the game has changed days of skinny batsmen are over and mascular does not means Flabby fat their 1 guy was doing reverse sweep POWER hits on 80 meter boundry

Pakistan's cricket in limited over format has become a joke, players like Azhar Ali, hafiz, wahab, rizwan and Nawaz are not international materials, Azhar though phenomenal in tests but a liability in odi, only babar and amir I find genuinely talented rest is as mediocre as you can get.

Pathetic brand of Cricket, Azhar and Rizwan played too many dot balls.

Is sarfaraz injured?, if not then selecting rizwan over sarfaraz defies all logic, Azhar is not limited over material at all, let alone being a captain, this ultra defensive captaincy from both Misbah and Azhar is actually one of the reasons why Pakistan's cricket is not exciting anymore, Pakistan needs fresh faces and an aggressive captain, someone like Sarfaraz is fit for this role I believe

9th rank in ICC from last one year and if you guys don't get that 8th within 4-5 months then Pakistan will have to play qualifying for the 2019 World Cup. Shame.

Pakistan is going down the West Indies route, that is, they simply do not have world class talents anymore, look at this Pakistan ODI team, barring Amir and Babar no one would even make their way into Indian state level teams. BD is going to replace Pakistan to be the second strongest team from Asia

I saw this match between Pakistan and Australia yesterday. One thing i found missing from Pakistan batting line up. Most of your players seems to be good as hitters but they are not as classy like your earlier batsman like Anwar, Amir Sohail or Even Inzamam too....Most of them seems to be in a hurry to play shots like T20 game....

Mostly agree with your post, although Akmal should not be dropped, he albeit inconsistent, still has the ability to toy with any bowling attack in his day and he is a genuine stroke maker too, which is extremely rare in this current Pakistant set up

No offence, but you made me chuckle, who did you find as good hitter in this team ? If blind slogging is good hitting in your book then let us talk no more, not a single one from this current Pakistani team can be considered as good hitter, yes, babar and Akmal has talent but one has a temperament of a toad and the other can't time the ball to save is life, sorry to say but one or two flashy shots aren't good hitting, again there is no good hitters in this current Pakistani team, sloggers-yes, good hitters-no, heck I don't even consider Kohli to be a good hitter, hitting and stroke playing are two different things I hope you understand, for example Jos Buttler is a good hitter of the ball while Joe Root is a better stroke maker . Most current Pakistani batsman are good at neither

You will lose this ODI series 5-0 unless some miracle happens, you simply do not have anything that is required to win matches in Austrailia

Well I think the problem is more deeper then that.
The flaws are in Habiit / Technique in players

Austalian bowlers , take advantage of the "Hibbits" of a player and use this to their advantage "Trapping" the player to play that shot.

Austalians bowlers have perfected the art of Entrapment , the trap is set with some loose balls , and then the actual Trap ball is bowled when the fielders are positioned specifically for that trap.

I will give credit in last game , Imad Wasim / Amir bowled well but Amir's last spell , last 5 overs were nothing special


Wahab Riaz I think lacked control in his bowling , his bowling & field placements are always off and then he continues to give away wides.

Perhaps it would have made sense to play Mohammad Sami instead of Wahab Riaz

I have seen a very little of Imad to form an opinion. The only bowler that I rate in this line up is Amir, who still have not quite found his mojo yet. Wahab is the crappiest bowler on planet earth with a pile of cow dung for a brain. Hafiz after return was ordinary, still looked good as Aussies played him with a lot of caution, Hasan Ali is below average

I do not like Sharjeel, no offence but his game seems extremely limited, a left side hack, who can hit the ball only when the ball is in his zone, he needs to drastically improve is off side game if he intends to have a longer career.
