Tuesday, June 18, 2013 - Islamabad—Three new schools will be built with 5 million Turkish Liras (TRY) grant of the Pakistani government following the earthquakes occurred in 2011 in Van, east of Turkey. The Pakistani government provided financial assistance worth of 5 million TRY in the scope of building brand new schools in Turkey’s eastern province of Van, where hundreds of houses were destroyed extensively in the earthquakes that took place between October 23 and November 9, 2011, Anadolu news agency reported.

Speaking at the ceremony, Munir Karaloglu, governor of Van, said that Pakistan and Turkey were two sister countries and added, Pakistan was one of those countries who always helped Turkey during extraordinary situations or disasters at first place.

Karaloglu reminded the aid assistance of Pakistan just after the earthquakes and said, they were very happy to be at the groundbreaking ceremony of a high school which was supported from Pakistan. Pakistan to finance 3 new Turkey schools

As seen, We don't need an alliance to strengthen our relations with Pakistan. Unlike the others. Our relations with Pakistan is not based on political interests. It's all about a true old brotherhood between our nations. It makes me happier day by day whenever I see that we helped Pakistan or Pakistan helped us. If they ask me who are the countries that you'd fight for, till die, I'd say Pakistan, Northern Cyprus and Azerbaijan. Pakistan definetly deserves to be on that list.
If someone attacks Pakistan in near future and if our brothers want help. It may take a long time to arrive there. But when we arrive, we'll fuvck the hell out of the South Asia for Pakistan.

(for the trolls who will quote me; we're not in a strip club. So better shut up)

It's a symbolic gesture, and you'd be surprised as to how many schools Pakistan can build for itself.

:disagree:

Yet it doesn't and our youth go uneducated one generation after another.

Turkey has a literacy rate of 95%+, Pakistan about 55%, talk about misplaced priorities!

That's what you get, when a uneducated population re-elects a complete buffoon not once, not twice, but three damn times.

I'm hoping that he's wisened up and learnt from his mistakes, but as the days go by, I get more and more grim about the entire situation.

Hah, unbelievable... how about the dumb govt of Pakistan uses that grant money to build 6 schools in own country where the need is dire. Turkey will live on its own. This is just a very poor form of 'drama bazi'
