Turkey doesn't have an issue with the West, it's Erdogan who has an issue with the West. Military relations between Turkey and US are excellent and will continue to be excellent regardless of Erdogan. Long as Turkey is a member of NATO, it will get the F-35. Things would have to go really badly -- and quickly -- for Turkey not to get the F-35.
You mention engine tech like it's nothing. It's a critical piece. Not even China has perfected engine design yet, so how long will it take Turkey to perfect it, especially if strongly relies on the West to supply it? Not to mention so much of Turkey weapon systems are from the West. The dependency will be there for long a time even if Turkey decides to replace it with its own systems or get it from non-Western sources.
Turkey doesn't hold the West by the balls. Turkey does have external debt, about $430 billion, in fact. And you are just dreaming here.
