Congrats to you in advance!!! I've said it in many of my posts. Pakistan has 200 million people (the US has 330 million). And people in Pakistan are very smart. IF They can fix the security situation, keep getting educated (even with hardships) and if Pakistan prospers only a fourth of where US is (comparing 330 million US population vs. 200 million Pakistani population), there will be dramatic increase in Pakistan's standing among the world.
Lehman brothers and other Berkshire Hathaway have already put Pakistan in the BRIC + 11 category. Meaning 11 countries where global economic expansion will happen in addition to Brazil, Russia, India and China. And this is to be expected by 2025. So, Pakistanis can speed up the process. Work on delivering a moderate Islamic message, let go of the fundamental Islams that a few follow and be open to other Muslim sects (people are people, you let the God decide who's a real muslim and who's not). If tolerance in the society is build, it'll bring nationalism and will help fix the security situation. Resulting in foreign investment flowing in.
You have to realize, Western businessmen have maxed out in making profits and dealing with competition in the West and now even in India and China. They LOVE these opportunities to enjoy sustained growth by investing in growing markets. However, if the market is dangerous to travel to and the security situation is iffy, they'll be scared to invest. So take your country on the top. Build a tolerance society where a Sunni Pakistani vs. a Shea Pakistani are the same, respect each other and can prosper in Pakistan by opportunities. There's plenty of potential there. I work with a few folks from Pakistan. I have to admit, compared to average ethnic nationalities, Pakistanis blend in quickly and well and have the street smartness that other ethnicities lack.
