Pakistan to be 20th most powerful economy by 2030: PwC

So it's
And what has this growing gap achieved for you? You are still whining even today for China blocking your resolutions against Masood Azhar.

Anyways the thread is about Pakistani growth and not how supa puwa India is.

What do you mean what we have achieved? We are a status quo power and we are happy with how things are going on.

It's upto you to see what you have achieved after so many misadventures.

And to your second point yes this thread is about pakistan's growth and I just answered a question regarding India asked by a fellow PDFian.

enjoy

Excellent point there Areesh. India isn't even in the UNSC. And then they think their country is a superpower country

slow and steady wins the race.........

Well clearly the way you bharatis collectively moan and whine 24/7 I don't think you are happy.

Our only so called misadventure is about Kashmir and till Kashmir is unresolved we would keep supporting freedom movement there. You would whine to that too.

Anyways you are not happy. You don't know what to do with your urge to be a bully.

We are playing around with them for past many years despite the sense of being a supa puwa in these bharatis. Near future won't be different either.

You can think whatever comforts you but we are very happy the way things the proceeding for us.

Even Hillary Clinton said India has problems with it's neighbours: China & Pakistan.

Keep gloating bharatis! India still has more poor than all of sub-saharan Africa!

Its all depend how stable is Pakistan in future. The way is Pakistan foreign policy and Kashmir policy is going forward , I can't hope much.

Why do you think we should lose our sleep over what Hillary clinton has to say?

To your second point yes India has poverty and we are gradually reducing it.

You are clearly not happy. The thing is your options are very limited. And when your options are limited then you are forced to be happy with whatever way the things are going.

Again think whatever helps you sleep at night but we are happy the way we are progressing. we can't vanish our problems in a fortnight but we are on the way .

Good. We are also happy the way things are going.

Please keep in mind that Pakistan needs to average about 7% growth each year to keep up with its population demands, just to break even. Any growth rate below 7% makes Pakistanis poorer.
That is just a perception otherwise we wouldn't have been able to reduce poverty by over 50% since past 15 years despite average GDP growth of lets say 4%

https://defence.pk/threads/in-a-decade-pakistan-reduced-poverty-by-50.476090/

Even that figure is based on $3.10USD per day otherwise we always used to determine poverty rate by $1 dollar a day method which is now less than 6% of population.

The reduction in poverty is a global phenomenon. There is no doubt that Pakistan had reduced poverty too, but its progress, relative to global benchmarks, still falls short, and decades of massive under-investment in health, education and social development have left it ill-equipped to deal with the challenges it faces. 7% annual growth rate is the minimum needed to avoid worsening this abysmal situation. Any shortfall only adds up the deficit.

and how do you calculate 7% growth?

Growth of population + Inflation?

I remember an article claiming 7% growth will create about 4 million jobs in Pakistan but now we need 4.3 million jobs easy year :D so raise that figure to 7.5% perhaps

Edit: But such estimations are perceptions, it doesn't necessarily have to be true. The growth in agricultural sector would create many more jobs compared to growth in industrial sector so giving a blank estimate of 7% is technically incorrect

It is not just population growth and inflation. It is more about population demands, which are a combination of those two factors, plus growth in consumption. Twice as many people using twice as much electricity per head will raise the demand four times, and the costs to deal with such a rise will go up with inflation on top of all that. The 7% figure is a pretty good estimate overall for the economy. Also keep in mind that the rising inequalities of how such growth and resources are distributed within Pakistani society show actively thriving middle and upper classes, where feel-good figures come from, at huge costs to the lower class, which is not adequately reflected in most such reports. For example, despite reduction in poverty, why has the average height of a Pakistani gone down?

There is room for improvement
