As an American, I can say most Americans would oposse any military conflict with or in Pakistan.

I believe most of those running this "War on Terror" see some familiar asspects much like what the military experienced in Vietnam. Mainly the forces directed by the Communist North decided to use neighboring countries as staging points and places of refuge that were considered off limits for military actions by the US.

I served in the Army with soliders who were sent into these other countries and were basically told the US would not acknowledge them or their presence with in these other countries. Later Nixon was exposed as a liar so to speak, when he had to admit to bombing Cambodia.

Regretably there are often Cilvians who are killed when these operations are conducted. Their deaths are viewed in several ways, on way could be accidential or implied, anyone who helps the enemy will suffer the same fate. In time it is hoped that if enough innocent blood is spilled no one will want to help the hidden enemy, or they will turn against the real targets of the attacks; due to the death and destruction that follows these targets.

Personally I believe you are experiencing the same basic military operations much like those back in the 1970's in Southeast Asia.

No they are not. What your are saying is that afganistan is same as vietnam. That is completly false statement. The war in afganistan is started by al queda with the world trade bombing, not vice versa. This terrorist must be eliminated or there will be no civilization. There idealoge is routed in hatred for the western world and culture, and you living in the states is going to sit there and say that this is unjust war.

Think of the implications if this war was not fought and ponder deeply the future might hold. The terrorist must be erricated for the future benefit of mankind and there are several countries in the world fighting this war including pakistan.

Well Operation Lionheart is a go, so based on this lets see what happens as there are very different stories coming out from NATO/ISAF and ISPR on this OP.

The situation is very fluid and considering this is the largest multi-national operation just 5 km from Pakistan is a big, big move. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, will this mean that now additional FDI/Soft Loans will pour into Pakistan?

Any proof that world trade center was bombed by the Alqaeda. The only source indicating this is the CIA or other US inteligence agencies. No independent source has confirmed this. I saw a movie on Geo recently which was prepared by some US people and that indicated a completely different story. Unfortunately I do not have the copy.

What implications are you thingking about. Did Alqaeda pose any threat to India, Iran, China or Pakistan. A country or an organization that was no match for its surrounding countries posed a threat to mighty USA. Get out of this Alqaeda syndrome. Now the fog has lifted and true picture of US intentions is becoming clear. The only obstacle is the unexpected resistance offered by these fighters. For some they are terrorists and for others freedom fighters.

But doesn't that concern you AM, that if Pakistan is not successful then the world and US could potentially brand Pakistan a rogue nation. And make the situation worse then it is currently. This is the right time to show Pakistanie leadership may it be political or militarily to do something about the situation.

For Pakistan it will be nagging US that will constantly pound on Pakistan until the solution to the problem is not solved. And the implication for the people of Pakistan will be worse and the growth rate will be minimal, until this nagging issue is not resolved.

US raids into Pakistan will guarantee that Pakistan is not successful, for the reasons I mentioned.

And Pakistan is doing something about the situation (not the strategic gains in Bajaur, and massive casualties inflicted), but since we don't have ten billion a month to spend upon our operations, and our military has to account for the threat on the Eastern front as well, our efforts will obviously be slower than those who do not have to face such constraints.
