Pakistan tells US to accept defeat in Afghanistan, agrees assistance on equal terms

What a strange thing, to boast of the defeat of one's ally, then make a claim of self-respect and dignity.

Boasting is not the right word, Pakistan gained absolutely nothing in this war. We've compromised our security and bled because of this war and alliance with the US. Allies also tend to have the same objectives, we do not have the same objectives, and some of these objectives are unachievable.

Don't take this as boasting, Pakistan's just looking after its own interests and trying to restore stability internally. Pakistan unfortunately can't be perfectly stable without having some semblance of normalcy in Afghanistan. The US isn't going to win this war, that's a fact now, it isn't our fault that policy makers and people in the US continue to delude themselves.

When your "friend/Ally" for that matter your blood brother comes and start to pick a fight or bring down your neighbour’s house for his selfish self interests. It’s time to question his true intentions and if his answers do not make sense or are not in your interests or he is not willing to listen. Then you have to take counter measures, at the end of the day he is from a different city and you have to live with the neighbour for the rest of your existence.
