LOL, Even before USA came Pakistan and her intelligence agencies started supporting different groups in Afghanistan and provided them training and shelter on your soil. So it was not USA's interest alone, it was a coherent interest of both Pakistan and US.

I knew, eventually like every other Pakistan you will start putting all the blame on USA and try to wash your hands. But the fact is the presence of unauthorized armed groups, militia aka kabili lashkars were always there in Pakistan long before USSR invaded Afghanistan or USA even came to the region, the same lashkar's that were used to invade Kingdom of Kashmir, they were never dismantled or disarmed even after their purpose. The matter of fact, Pakistan is having on of the worst gun/weapon control regime in the region. I would be surprised if any adult Pakistani say that he has not touched or used a gun yet. Your poor law of gun control is the first thing to be addressed before even cursing Zia or anyone else.
