Quetta Gladiators defeat Islamabad United by 43 runs

In the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League, Quetta Gladiators defeated Islamabad United by 43 runs at Abu Dhabi.

Batting first, Quetta Gladiators set victory target of 181 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.

PSL 2019: Highest wicket-takers

The highest wicket-taker so far in the Pakistan Super League 2019 is medium-fast bowler Hasan Ali of Peshawar Zalmi. He has captured 18 wickets at an average of 12.72 in nine matches. He has taken four wickets in an innings on three occasions which is also the most by any bowler in the tournament. His best bowling was four for 15, which he performed twice.

Left-arm pacer Sohail Tanvir comes second with 12 wickets (ave 16.66) in nine matches. His best bowling performance was 4-21, which is his only four-wicket haul.

Sohail is followed by medium-fast bowler Haris Rauf of Lahore Qalandars and left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz of Peshawar Zalmi, who have claimed eleven wickets each. Harris has played eight and Wahab has appeared in nine matches and they averaged 18.00 and 22.63, respectively.

Shane Watson agrees to play in Pakistan
All-rounder is part of Quetta Gladiators squad in the tournament

Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has agreed to travel to Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season four.

The 37-year-old — who represented Australia in 59 Tests, 190 One-Day Internationals (ODI) and 58 Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) — made his decision on request of Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Omar.

According to sources, the team management had a long meeting with Watson which ended earlier in the morning. They had tried to convince the all-rounder and succeeded.

Watson made the decision after consulting with his family members and after the assurance of full-proof security in Karachi by the team management.

The Gladiators team manager Azam Khan also confirmed the news to media that Watson will be travelling to Pakistan.

Shane Watson is a key member of the Gladiators squad at the top order. He is also the leading runs scorer for this year’s PSL. He has scored 318 runs at an average of 53.00 in nine matches.

Earlier, the former World Cup winning squad member of Australia ruled out his participation for PSL season four –leg in Pakistan.

Pretty clear who are the performers in Pakistan's Cricket note Ahmed Shazad has played very few innings but racked up good totals.

Ahmed Shahazad has the highest innings total for Pakistan in PSL 99 Runs innings

Some players have good tallies for 4's which is close to international players , but we certainly need more presence with 6's Asif Ali has stood out in that department to hit 6's
