What's new

Pakistan Steel Mills

PMLN goal was to privatise Pakistan Steel Mills and the employee of the steel mill would still be the employees of steel mill after privatisation which PTI opposed
Firstly, PMLN had no interest in privatisation as their own steel Mills were doing well
Secondly, the private investors didn't want the deal PMLN was providing because it had too much wholes to be profitable for any sane investor to go forward with it.
PMLN wanted the investors to take on all the burden and mismanagement of the previous governments while retaining the political employees that were given employment based on safarish.

back in 90's Nawaz sharif made national fiber from govt to private even though that company was in profit.

After privatiaze new owner came in and made the employees work for 1 year or two with little to no salary.

afterward owner shutdown the company. So employee wouldn't able to have the salary of 1-2 years they worked for.

PTI given 23 lac per person as shake hand and some are even 60 lacs and yet you here complaining?

Why are you so na shukre?
First answer about PIA is profitable and PTI made it... Don't divert from the question. And I'm not nashukra you people are bunch of hypocrites just like your party PTI

If PMLN goes for privatisation then it's Haram and PTI rants were we can run it by better management but when they failed and are going for privatisation then only solution was privatisation employees are getting golden HANDSHAKE so again we are nashukray

HYPOCRISY

Following which, the federal government in its reply, submitted in the Supreme Court, stated that the revenue of the national flag-carrier increased by 44 percent during the tenure of Arshad Malik, adding that the line losses of the PIA were also brought down to 75 percent.

Fail to accept, fail to see, 100% symptoms of bughz-e-Imran.

Please provide sources and references for your claims. Thank you
With pleasure

PIA revenue increased by 43% in 2019 and gross profit for the first in 8 years. Do note gross profit does not mean the airline is overall in the green. Also 2020 wrecked all airlines PIA is now having a loss of Rs6b per month

PSM lasting solution, think it's the topic of the thread so you don't need a source for this.

In my original post I misspoke and said Pakistan Post's profit increased by 110%, actually it was the revenue that increased by that amount.

Pakistan Railways breaks all revenue records in financial year 2018-2019. Obviously performance in FY2019-2020 will be dismal due to lockdown for 2 months etc specially during highest earning time frame of Eid

U r over generalizing PTI stance.

PTI wasnt against privatization but privatzation policy.

The objective was the organization should be sold not in loss situation but after stabilization...

Now look at PIA, after so many years PIA is now making operational profits (before corona as during corona no airlone of the world is making any profit)

In sale of PSM biggest bottleneck were excess employees and dues. PTI is getting rid of both so that PSM and PIA can be sold at better terms. New management can hire its own team and use the machinery. Infact they can always hire old employees if they r capable.

Pmln announced to privatize PSM again in 2018 when only few month of government was remaining and PTI started campaign against such step as it was an important matter and cannot be executed in few months so it should be left to next government.

If u want i can share specific news headings.

After 2016 they ruled for another 2 years, but didn't do privatization. Why didn't they privatize? You want PTI to fix the entire country in 2 years when your PML-N couldn't even privatize the PSM in 2 years.

Just look in your hypocrisy, you are talking about why PIA is in loss in 2020 and on other thread you are asking why country is not in lock down.

The shortage of Petrol
Hike in prices of sugar
Economy down to - ve and contracted in 68 years
Harvesting wheat and then importing it for the benefits
Circular debt crossed 2 trillion
Highest inflation

These things are the indicators of the performance of the mighty Imran Khan for more check out the economic survey of 2019-20

Now on coming to PSM PMLN announced to privatise PSM IN 2016 and guess what PTI went against it

Screenshot_20200611_173457.jpg

In 2017 PMLN wanted to give PSM on lease and wave off 5000 employees and again PTI and PPP were against it that better management can make it PSM run again

Screenshot_20200611_173813.jpg

This move was also opposed by PTI PPP and employees of PSM and they started protesting against the government
