Pakistan Space Mission , Beyond speculation

In recent few days we have all heard the statements that Air Cheif stated , possibility to 2 Pakistanis going officially into space.

So that raises many questions , what will be the Space Vehicle that will be used ? Are we manufacturing a space launch vehicle in Pakistan? For a possible Orbit around earth type 1-2 day mission or even a week.

Obviously the number one candidate is the Shaheen Missile , perhaps which has gone thru improvement to be known as the Ababeel Missile

While the abbabeel was a great improvement over the older shaheen design , the Astronaut Unit , would certainly have to be a bit bigger

An artist's concept how the Ababeel can be enhnced , perhaps wider body rockey or boosters and bigger cabin for Astronauts

Still the Cabin would only have seated position for 2 Astronauts which would signal at a quick 1 day mission

Certainly a talking point can two Astronauts fit in the enhanced Ababeel design ?
Averge male height is 1.74 meters

We have hitched hiked on Chinese Rockets before so would be interesting if this same module at top would be used

What you are considering are solid fuel rockets. They are not used for human launches as these rockets are designed to be very fast thus resulting in massive G-forces. It will be a liquid fueled Oxygen Hydrogen Rocket.

Would be nice to know , what is the status on the Astronaut module , and also the Launch platform

We could in essence construct an aparatus similar to one in China

Movable platform would be better

I thought Pakistan would launch astronauts on Chinese slv

Plus didn't we already have a concept design for slv

We already got Long Range Ballistic Missiles. I think you are talking about ICBM. Yes, could be.

Yes, unless there is another vehicle using hitherto unknown rocket tech, the Ababeel based launcher is the most likely.

It would need
1) A pair and probanly more strap-on boosters
2) A larger upper stage.

Some misconceptions here.There is no technical reason that a Solid rockets cannot be used. The Space Shuttle used Solid rockets, its those white rockets on the side.

Secondly, using an Ababeel based launch system would probably mean fairly high G forces; higher than whats normally accepted on Soyuz or the Shuttle, even Shenzhou. However, that is not a game breaker. Shuttle is limited in its max G (3-5 g sustained), since it has civilians on board. Ababeel would be limited to fighter pilots only. Again this is not a problem. The Gemini programme used the Titan (basically the Titan ICBM was used with some fairly small modifications). It saw saw high G forces, upto 10G. All of its astrouants had fighter background.

Even Apollo has G-forces approaching 7-8G. All but one of the men who rode it were former fighter pilots, and the one who was not, Harrison Schmitt, was trained for 18 months to fly fighters and only then was he permitted to begin astronaut training.

The upper stage I allude to has to be liquid fuled though. While you can use a solid rocket, for porbital insertion a liquid fueled rocket at the upper stages is better.

Something like a Gemini Space Craft is doable. It was 3000KG launchg weight. We could probably reduce 500 or so KG using modern material alone.

First we need to test over capabilities to launch satellite through over own Rocket.
For Human space mission in present scenario the Chinese facilities are suitable and economical for Pakistan Human space mission.

First space satellite launch was in Oct 1957. First manned launch, April 1961. 3.5 years.
So if there is a timeframe of 2 years, then its easily doable. Especially if they go out from the beginning to make the rocket man-rated.

Rememeber we already can and have made Satellites. The issue is launching them. The USSR/USA had to first launch and then figure out how to make stuff work in a freefall high radiation enviroment. We have done that.

So, you think they'll launch humans before they launch satellite. I'd like to see that. Lets just wait 2 years and see where we are. Good for you to trust your scientists so much, may be you should volunteer.

Certainly alot of steps to go to before a Pilot reaches Astronaut credentials
