We are moving in right direction.

We just downgrade ourselves. when we bring ourselves down to countries like India or Afghanistan and try to be passive towards them. It is like living with a pig. You get dirty no matter what you do with a pig.

We are a country meant to party and work with big boys since 1947. We should only do that.

Absolutely correct but just like when a baby elephant is chained right from beginning then it still remains chained to that small chain as he thinks that he can not break it even when it has gone damn strong..... Its all about mentality as those in power still think they can not break those shackles even though lots of things have changed. If for once we play on front foot then we would realize what are we capable of... But for that we need a sincere leadership and not of self centered businessmen and cons who take turns to play havoc with this country.

We have no foreign policy. If i was PM, i would have created separate foreign affair institute that deals with constantly changing world.
We need to get out of this 70s mentality.
We are living in multipolar world. We are a big country and can not be treated like Bhuttan and Burma.

PM Modi has clearly mentioned that Pakistan shall be isolated in all internation forums and events, thats the state policy. Expecting red carpet treatment, hugs and biryani from Modi is foolish, Mr Aziz should have known better.
Pakistani deplomats should be more prepared the next time, to avoid such a fiasco.
This is not congress govt, this is a rightwing BJP govt, things will be very different.

NEW DELHI: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani today snubbed Pakistan for exporting terror by saying that the $500 million promised by Islamabad for Afghan reconstruction would be better used fighting terrorism.

Cross border terrorism is a major concern and "we need aid to fight terrorism", said Ghani at the Heart of Asia conference in Amritsar+ .

"We need to identify cross-border terrorism and a fund to combat terrorism. Pakistan has pledged 500 million dollars for Afghanistan's development. This amount, Mr. Aziz, can be spent to contain extremism," Ghani said, directly addressing Pakistan's foreign policy chief Sartaj Aziz+ , who is also attending the conference.

"Afghanistan suffered the highest number of casualties last year. This is unacceptable...some still provide sanctuary for terrorists. As a Taliban figure said recently if they had no sanctuary in Pakistan, they wouldn't last a month," Ghani said.

I agree that those $500 million should be spent in Pakistan for various things(including Zarb-e-Azab). Enough of this ummah thing and helping Afghans. They don't deserve it.

No country on Earth is responsible for Afghanistan's problems but Afghans themselves. They need to get their shit together and stop blaming others.

Pak Afghan border should be no go area and order should be shot on seen. All afghans must be sent back and all trade and diplomatic ties with afghan govt should be cancelled and borders must be sealed and let them rot in hell and than fix our house in order which in marred by corruption, illiteracy, mismanagement, poor governance.

Though they are probably more sincere than the west . Time will tell.
I'm all for Russian and Chinese influence in Pakistan . It will reduce the radicalism for sure, and the subcontinent would finally grow in peace.

Surprised to see sane people with Indian flag ... But bro peace cannot prevail in region unless Kashmir issue is resolved and India's wish to treat its all neighbour states as its satellite state ...

I wish somehow a midway can be sort out in Kashmir which is acceptable to all three parties ...

The whole fiasco shouldn't have come as a surprise, earlier this year, gullible Ghani under instructions from Delhi tried their luck with the gate issue, before the Afghans had fished licking their wounds, the Moli munching Modi felt adventurous on the LOC, we all know how the heat and smoke from burning Bharti bunkers reached Delhi, alas back to the old Indian habits of behaving like true losers on the playing fields, concert halls or other venues, either terrorising Pakistani players, singers or just being a pathetic host and not honouring even the basic diplomatic norms....so much that even the Russian envoy inclined to give Indians a clip around the ear.... oh well, we do our fighting on the borders.

Not new or the first time. It would have been worthy to pay attention if President was not habitual for such calls. Afghan Government is just trying to shift her incompetence on others while issuing these statements which are merely for more funds and public rhetoric. Mr. President, where were you when Afghan people were fighting the enemy together with Pakistan and helped you to be the free. Clean you own mess and failures or actually he is certifying the fact that NATO along with India cannot secure the Kabul against Pakistan alone, I mean seriously... People like Ghani and Karzai are actually appointed for the term to fool the people, rule the country, earn the money, gather the benefits for after retirement and raise the worth through such statements for a luxury apartment/house. These people were never seen before nor would be staying in Kabul once not elected.
