Of course all the forces maintain an official line of communication with the press, and people are made available to media. Amid still ongoing tensions, and given how much of press this got, it'd be unfair to expect any airforce to allow him freewheeling interviews with the press while the guy is still active duty. They are also assets, takes a lot of money to train a person to be a fighter pilot, it's best they stay busy with their job. There will be plenty of time for books and interviews later once he retires.

They interviewed many crew involved, if he really did shoot down a F-16 Indian media, global media etc would be knocking down the door. Considering Bollywood make a film every time an Indian soldier manages to aim a weapon it goes to show what is really going on. Every Indian officer mouths off to the media on a weekly basis with even your ACM taking weekly press conference, please do try and feed us BS now, it's making you look even more sillier then usual.
