IOK is stationed with a good 700,00 Indian soldiers. The odds are stacked against the Kashmiris and India has an iron clad control. They will commit the worse form of human rights abuses and one thing is certain, it looks very unlikely that anyone can do to change the situation and gain independence. IOK is a dead cause.
Pakistan geographically holds an advantage when talking about Kashmir, but does one think India will not escalate and attack on different theatres?
My point is, put Kashmir to the back burner, focus on pressuring India diplomatically, and focus inwards.
The propaganda of taking Kashmir is hollow. Reduce the defense budget by a good 30% and concentrate on other human development sectors.
If your economy and human resources are strong and skilled, you can achieve everything.
