Did PN recieved Spruance class destroyer from US till date ??

PN declined it. It was just too big and labour intensive for a force PN sized. FFG8 is more to our liking and we will likely recieve the first one soon. However, what i dont know is what is going on with the rest, as you know PN had requested 6 and the fact that we are about to receive the first one MAY mean that the rest are on their way. We just do not know the timeframe for delivery of the rest.

still pn putting people in too much darkness i dont think we r gonna recieve them ever and i must say our naval think tank is nuts they just have one way of thinking onlt frigates frigates navy should be going now for destroyers i think PN never had any destroyer in its flleet before and they are losing any chances of getting it PN should have got spurance becoz it was free

I think you need to look at the PN as the Cinderella of the forces. It has pressing needs but the other sisters (Idare not call them ugly or step:lol::D)take a lot of the funding. I think PNs approach has been to concentrate on the subsurface warfare first(Agosta 90Bs and now U214s), and then littoral combat with small Corvettes and Frigates. In the next stage when more funds become available, P3Cs, AWACs, and an aerial arm , and then finally probably frigates. W edont ahve too big a terrain to cover and getting frigates on their own would only make them good targets for the Indians. You need strategy and Frigates need accompanying vessels with them.
Regarding Spruance, it Offered PN nothing, as it had been stripped out, and we wouldhave had to have it kkitted out, its maintenance was very high.It was also mentioned that the harbour in karachi would have had to be dredged out to even allow it to come in. Also after all that its firepower could have been incorporated on a small corvette(though not the numbers of missiles and also endurance factor). So if we had had it we would not have had any money for future developmentsat all.
I hope I have answered your querry

The US Congress approved the transfer of FFG-8, and President Bush signed the bill into law on Friday October 17, 2008.

It remains to see if President Obama takes action to block the transfer, but if he takes no action the transfer will take place.

The information can be found here*:

The full authorization can be found here*:

Note that the Chairman, Committee on Foreign Relations,
U.S. Senate, Washington, DC. at the time the authorization was passed by Congress is now the Vice-President of the USA.

NAVAL VESSEL TRANSFER ACT OF 2008
Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress)

In October 2008, the US Government approved the transfer of USS McInerney (FFG-8) to the Pakistan Navy. It is scheduled for handover in August 2010.

On a side note, I hear a couple of F-122 Bremen class frigates will come on the market in the near future. These are very similar to the Dutch Kortenaer and Greek Elli classes. Perhaps of interest for PN?
