Well conflict in Syria has shown an enemy can come near your shore and just shot a barrage of missiles and turn away , so we need some notable detterant in Deep Sea near our ports

The Chinese Ships are exactly the type of confident posture we need at Sea to protect our National Interest

Bhai , need more than 4 ... 6-8 Type 54's than you have a proper AD Protection .

Trying to figure it out myself

it will work mostly likely as a Flag ship , along with F-22's and FAC .. it will make a group of their own to attack enemy ships with a proper AD .

It certainly will be enough to smash any 'blockade' and hurt the enemy badly if they attack.
4 Type 54A/B's, 8 F-22P, 4 Milgems and 11 submarines (all AIP capable) that is a very good fleet.

Oh at least we won't be seeing any more Indian jokes about how their coastguard is enough for the Pakistan navy......

We might have nice 4 Surface ship group , and 2 Under Water Mission Groups (12 Subs)

Reasonable for our needs but I would imagine our Submarine fleet will be Lone Tiger at sea

True, however as per fatman the swift deal is over "no more "

If you are talking about from those VLS no they don't that is sad part.

Type 54A have VLS while Type 54 didn't that is one important difference between two, now what weapons and sensor configuration PN going? that is important question.

Sir some members were saying that these frigates only have anti ship missiles and Air defence system and not cruise missile capability , I am confused!

Don't get confused, use Google and check standard configuration of this class of ship to understand its capabilities.
