The Pakistan Navy is set to host its largest international naval exercise, AMAN-25, from February 7 to 11, 2025. This biennial event, which has been held since 2007, aims to enhance maritime cooperation and security among participating nations.

Key Details of AMAN-25​

1. Participation:
   • AMAN-25 is expected to see participation from over 50 countries, reinforcing Pakistan's commitment to fostering global naval collaboration. This includes navies from various regions, enhancing interoperability and collective responses to maritime challenges.
2. Objectives:
   • The primary goals of the exercise include promoting peace and stability in the maritime domain, improving communication between regional and extra-regional navies, and demonstrating a united front against terrorism and maritime crime.
3. Structure of the Exercise:
   • The exercise will consist of three phases: Harbour, Sea, and Special Operations. Activities will include operational discussions, cultural exchanges, counter-terrorism demonstrations, and live firing exercises. An International Fleet Review (IFR) will also be conducted, showcasing various naval capabilities.
4. AMAN Dialogue:
   • Alongside AMAN-25, the inaugural AMAN Dialogue will take place, providing a platform for senior naval leaders to discuss maritime security challenges and explore opportunities for cooperation. This dialogue aims to deepen ties among participating nations and address issues related to the Blue Economy.
5. Significance:
   • AMAN-25 is not only a display of naval strength but also a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing Pakistan's geopolitical standing in the region. The exercise exemplifies Pakistan's dedication to maintaining maritime security and its role as a pivotal player in regional stability.
