Pakistan has a 800 KM shore line , and sometimes you need to have a Fast response against any intruder , and this is where the Fast Attack Platform is vital. A conventional Frigate is slower in comparison and that means you have a tactical advantage if you can send a fast fleet to conduct an anti intrusion mission.

So this is where we realize importance of having the Missiles boats available with Pakistan Navy , to stay closer to our Shore and also be able to pack a punch

Also the ships offer great support platform to support the Conventional Coast Guard if they request help


We had 4 decades to build missile boat fleet
> 80's -> 2 boats/ships
> 90's -> 2 boats/ships
> 00's
> 10's ->3 boats/ships

So a production of mere 3 ships in 80's and 90's is very astonishing

A glimmer of hope had been the Azmat Class Missile platform but even that platform has it's growth slowed down after production of 3 Boats/Ships

> 7 Missile boat , 4 - 80's tech and 3- 2010 tech based
> 2 Fast Speed boats

Ideal Scenario for Pakistan (Minimum)
> 18 Missile Boats (Azmat Class)
> 20 Fast SPEED Boats (Karar Class) , should be given to Marines branch of Navy

We could certainly appreciate another 5 Azmat Missile boats
Considering the small size of the Azmat Missile boats , we should have made 2 ships per year

To have 10-20 Azmat Fast Attack Boat in our arsenal

Not expanding it from 3 to 20 Boats is a important question which needs answering

The size of Missile Boat fleet is small right now

We really should have at least 10 Missile boats

Why don't the NAVY outsource the Azmat boat production to Private parties to speed up production ?

A small project like this should be easy work for a Private Contractor

Yes Exactly. PM should give much more support to some investors which can make Shipping Company.

Turkey is ready we should start production of light FACs with more stealth features as compared to Azmat class FACs and much faster speed. Meanwhile the FACs having size and speed of Azmat class must have a short range SAM for AD purposes.

Pakistan can produce catamaran boats with light ASHMs and fast speeds in excess of 40 Knots, off course with stealth features just like Iran.
