Type 054 with 32-cell VLS, MR-SAM and a good radar could be $250-300m, but that's just my guess, not a fact.

The Price of Type 054a mention at Wikipedia page is 1.5 Billion yen which is close to $250 Million so we can assume it's gonna be $300 Million per ship

Probably when considering it is likely over 10-15 years payment andif hou consider the likely offset by CPEC to the economy over that time. However, the question is whether t054A is better suited to PN vs MiLGEM-G vs a new design all together, like Type 057 which is larger and carries more weapons and better sensos that the others. Personally i would hope that PN go for MILGEM-G with CAMM (would give a much heftier weapons load out than Type 054A- 64 medium range sams and 16 AShM vs 32 and 8 respectively). Then go for 2-4 Type 057.
