Pakistan's long term strategic objective should be to balkanize India. Making peace with India will be seen as a weakness as always.

It's easier to balkanise Pakistan than it is India if we are being objective.

With this entire episode of regime change, it should be an eye-opener for the normal people of Pakistan that India is not the only enemy that needs to be managed by Pakistan, but the people of Pakistan need to handle the devil inside the room which is your Army to become a normal progressive nation... I can see many people in PDF is still of the opinion that Army is a saint without Bajwa...But they are not understanding that Bajwa is just a symptom of a problem that is too deep-rooted within your institution...Whoever in place of Bajwa will come, they will follow a similar trajectory unless any civilian leader forces him to change the path.

Fushtavaal, there are no enemies or friends in international geopolitics. The present policies by both India and Pakistan, and their history, have served respective national interest very well over the decades, and they will surely, and only, change if circumstances make rapprochement meet national interest goals once suitable conditions can be created, which which I can predict that their relative economies will play the largest role, as it always does, specially among nuclear armed neighbors.

Skundavaal, like it or not, the Pakistani military will remain the central, and only viable, power entity for the foreseeable future, so whether the people see it in a good or a bad light is immaterial for outside observers.

it would be a good opportunity for India to do this, and I doubt they would get a better opportunity to do so.
But the external backlash with the international community will be absolute massive, not to mention that China will likely get involved because India will definitely struggle through kashmir.
India will ultimately defeat Pakistan in a conventional war, but it will be extremely bloody and slow

India will not do anything until the conditions are right. Wait for the internal strife and mayhem to begin.A civil war is very likely in those conditions and you will see refugees in millions at the border of India, and Iran. It is just a matter of time, Pakistan will break apart on its own. It will be a repeat of 1971 and Pakistan will strike India first.
