Both realise that these disputes are holding back the social and economic progress of both countries. The Pakistanis have realised that it is futile to perpetually be at war with an enemy that is many times your size and the Indians have realised that Pakistan is immovable. What is now happening on our Eastern and Western borders will be crystallised and relations between the two countries will be improved over time. This is my understanding as well. There seems to be an arrangement between Modi Imran and Trump. First India will dissect Kashmir, the one that is more violent will come under discussion and the two countries will reach some sort of settlement.
