There will be a peaceful Afghanistan but the Mujahideen will not be moving in to Kashmir. There will be a tacit acceptance of that status quo by both the Indian and Pakistani governments. Both realise that these disputes are holding back the social and economic progress of both countries. The Pakistanis have realised that it is futile to perpetually be at war with an enemy that is many times your size and the Indians have realised that Pakistan is immovable. What is now happening on our Eastern and Western borders will be crystallised and relations between the two countries will be improved over time. The only question is how the final status of the Kashmiri people on the Indian side of the border is settled.
We didn't want this to end this way but it looks to be the way it is going.
