Pakistan : Murder of History

everybody is free to post, comment other's posts and let know his opinions. Unlike the indian forums which always ban you even if you try to have a good debate and demonstrate the real facts backed by sources, so we should do the same with indian members here what they do to a pakistani member on their forums? i don't think so.....you indians are all free to post as other members but the bitter truth is that mostly there is a malign intention behind these type of posts....it's not your fault, it's typical indian anti-Pakistani sentiment!

.
how many bloody times will the same thing, or items just like it, be posted over and over again

dont any of you people out there use the search function before posting?

This is the second part. And it is equally critical of India. If that might cool you down.

Than you are saying that those were not written in the books but Sethi says he is quoting them from the text books on TV. Strange!!!

First watch the videos and then comment.

actually no..... what we are saying is that Mr.Sethi so admirably and definitely without a hidden agenda chose a book to quote throughout his program which apparently non of us has come across......i do not know how things are studied there at your side but here we are forced to study many different books e.g one written by Ayesha Jalal and i believe Sumantra Bose and if you have the slightest of interest in south asian hitory ull know that madam ayesha jalal, whom i have the honor of being a nephew and a student to at my uni, is believed, worldwide, to be the foremost authority on south asian history. but it doesnt stop there. just for the fun of it we are then forced to read Mr.Chapman's book on south asian history so as to give us a taste of the opposite spectrum. now if i went on to include every book that i, a math major, has been forced to study i believe ull start hating me...... but seriously i would love to get my hands on Mr.Sethi's book:partay:

i think it was Mangal Pandey who started sepoy mutiny don't forget the role of jhansi ki rani n tantiya topey kunwar singh

Just before independence it was the unfair attitude of muslim league as i know they demanded half seats be reserved for muslims which should have been outrightly rejected in parliamentry democracy as demography at that time was around 70% hindu n 30% muslim
which i think was an unfair demand made by them

rioting started after call for DIRECT ACTION not before that

political power was gained by League in 1946 not Congress or any Hindu Party mind u congress is secular

sir i suggest you read "Bose and Jalal" (authors are Pakistani and Indian) or the one by Chapman (an english man) and do a little bit more research on this......i believe these books should be enough to enlighten you about how history is being taught at your side aswell:)

oohhhhhh man, Indians are on the roll, 5th thread of the day.

You guys have nothing to do other then roam around and find this stuff.

Unbelievable, to see the obsession.

I'm sorry Mr. Moderator but I fail to spot your dismay when

1. people like SOCOM, Molawchai etc. spend sleepless nights searching and posting India -toilet threads or other similar India bashing threads.

2. People like peaceful derail thread after thread after thread.

3. People like Omar 1984 make thread after thread after thread on Arundhati Roy.

The list is long!

The obsession is not one-sided Mr. Moderator!:disagree:

Hello Barcelona...

To clarify a little more I m talking about what happened after Hindus made governments and I remember it mentioned a lot of Muslim suffering in that time... This would be in the late 30s...

Can u mention abt injustice done by Hindus who were in power n it was congress which was centre to left party which came to power n as I knw in outbreak of WW II congress didn't support Indian entry in WW II as a result Its gov. dissmissed n its leadership was jailed

If u could eleborate laws which were anti muslim enacted at that time during congress rule

@TamiKhan

Whats your opinion on Anti-Hindu content in Pakistani textbooks.

I remember Pervez hoodbhoy voicing his concerns on things being taught in those textbooks.

Well I have studied and been taught not in the elite kind of schools, rather simple mediocre Army run public schools, and as far as my memory goes back, we never got taught anything anti-hindu, or stuff to hate them, or this jihad stuff. The hindu stuff that we got was mostly in the shape of the differences, political differences which came up between, ML and Congress time periods and things like that. But never taught that hate hindus or kill them on sight or other idiotic stuff.

As I said before, in Pakistan, any sane or idiot can write a book and our controls and standards of monitoring what's written in them are weak and one in many such kind of books can get to some schools, either due to its price or favoritism. This is what should be checked.

When a person grows up and reaches his teen, one way or another, he is gonna find the truth about history.

So yeah, there are distortions in our curriculum, but it depends on who is the author and which book is being used where and where not.

.
and that's exactly why such threads should not be deleted taimi. distortions have been done by India and pakistan. Once these teens wander in to PDF, they can also learn the truth :)
heck after watching the part two I also realized that india has done equally questionable stuff, i knew we couldn't have been absolute saints but at least now I know actual instances where GOI went wrong.

May be he is a liar. :) Because from Class 1 to Bachelors I didn't read anything of this sort in any text book.
Can anyone put scan pictures of those pages.....Seriously which books is he talking about.

But alteast they create one thread, not like from the other side, who create thread after thread on one same topic, without checking whether it has been posted earlier or not, and even in some cases, previous thread is just below the newly created thread.

So, don't teach me how to moderate, I spend more time then you on this forum and I have more experience in knowing who does what and which side is more obsessed.

I am starting to feel..you are imposing selective vision on the rest here..do you have eyes only for what Indian are doing, have you been ignorant to the standards threads your countrymen have been creating??..You say 5 threads were created on the same topic however you deleted them ..but I fail understand..what could be reason for such?? Do you consider these videos as far fetched propaganda, having no relation what so ever to reality ??

As advised to another of your countryman, do not teach me how to do moderation or what to say, i have a very good idea what is done by whom and how much. Well its common that you will not understand a common thing, and that is that multiple threads on one topic are not allowed, either they get merged or deleted if nothing new is being added in them. So, hope you can now understand that why the other ones were deleted and why this one has been kept, as its not censorship or selective whatever you Indian members have to say. Had it been censorship, this thread would have long been deleted. Even if you guys search a little deep, you will find an old much debated thread still open, which discussed the same thing, same topic in much more detail and comprehensive way.

We understand that you are the senior-most active moderator present these days and have your own way of running this forum but
freedom of speech which use to be benchmark of this forum..is fast disappearing in the past numerous threads relating to Pak army(most of them created by Pakistanis) have been deleted without giving an adequate reason.

Yeah i can understand what you are pointing at, but sorry to disappoint you, those same issues got posted once something official came up, and they are still there. You need little working to do to find them and read them, we have left posted numerous articles and discussions criticizing PA, even the controversies, but if you guys see threads deleted due to multiple posting and take it as subjection of freedom of speech, can't help you in that.

What disappoints me the most rather than commenting on the topic at hand (either refuting it or endorsing it by giving valid reasons) you have chosen to target the thread stater and Indians in general.

Well, its upto you how you perceive, i don't need to target anyone, if something is off limits, i just have to delete. Plus, which part of my post is targeting the thread starter ?? Care to elaborate on that part, as I see none which is pointing at the thread starter.

And as for the Indians comment, i stand by it, as that is the truth. Whenever anything with regard to Pakistan bashing is out there, Indians are first to post it, not once, but multiple times, which is not the case from other sides. This is which we see again and again and has happened on multiple times. And there is nothing bad in that, this is natural since we are enemies. Had such liberalism and open hand been given to Pakistani members in Indian forums, same trend from Pakistani members would have been seen there too and Indian moderators would have been saying the same. So, don't make hue and cry about something which is not worth to be made about.

As for this particular book... I cannot remember such things from my study... Infact the sub continent history was taught to us and the only place where Hindus were shown in bad light if at all was firstly how they willingly accepted the British as their masters and gained favors from them at the expense of the Muslims in India after the war of independence in 1857.

That itself is a big lie. Firstly, Hindus were NOT united or had any khalifa giving them orders (not that Muslims had one when British came to India). When British started spreading their influence the prominent Hindu power was the Marathas who fought with the British for influence and lost slowly as the British kept dividing their ranks with diplomacy and bribery. There were many wars, not one.

Even during the 1857 war, the history is incomplete without mentioning Nanasahed, Tatya Tope and Rani Lakshmibai (among others) who did elect a Mughal as the ruler of Delhi.

BTW many Hindu sardars and kings happily served under Mughal, and Adilshahi rulers too, at times commanding their armies, the only Mughal to face serious revolt from Hindus was Aurangzeb, thanks to his Talibani ideas. How come Hindus working for all the Mughals are not shown in a bad light??? So Hindus working for British - BAD, Hindus working for Mongols or Turks - GOOD!

My pt is, why is there a need to show a scattered religious group in bad light to impressionable kids?????
