Pakistan's close ally China has setup vast surveillance network. It includes methods such as using facial technology that can pick people from massive crowds, watching how people shop, Having LEAs wear special glasses to identify people,building predictive software. Pakistan will have the 4th largest population of 400 million people by 2050 and is will be critical to know what is happening in the country and keep eyes on internal enemies and spies.
How can Pakistan take GOOD portions from it & learning/using the technologies or may be its already being done?
-PUNJAB SAFE CITIES PROJECT (PCSA) is already established in Lahore and is being spread to other 6 major cities in the province. May be it can spread to all over Pakistan with high powered cameras and other equipment. ISI or other NSA like pakistani organization(s) should have access from the back end to convert law and order information into strategic purpose.
-Some time ago, it was also announced by DG FC that any one buying a car will have to install GPS in balochistan. May be it can also be spread to other parts.
-Now imagine integrating info from NADRA, PCSA, provincial govt.s, bank info, FBR,GPS,voice recognition, cell phone & internet communication, travel history etc.
