Pakistan military delegations visit Sri Lanka

A visiting four-member military delegation of the Pakistan Army on Thursday (12) paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at Army Headquarters.

The delegation, led by Lieutenant General Ayaz Salim Rana during their goodwill tour, met Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary Defence and Urban Development on Wednesday (11) before their itinerary in Sri Lanka began.

During their meet with the Commander of the Army, the Commander recalled the existing bonds of goodwill and military co-operation between both military organizations. Lt. Gen. Jayasuriya at the same occasion thanked the Pakistan military forces for uninterrupted allocation of training slots for student officers in their reputed training establishments throughout the year.

The visiting team, comprised of Brigadier Azhar Ghori, Brigadier Tariq Javed Rehan and Brigadier Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan, is scheduled to meet a few more senior military officers and visit places of military and tourist interest during their stay here.

This is great news for Pakistan Sri Lanka relationship.
We have always had strong ties and now we should cement them even more.

Also Sri Lanka should also promote tourism in Pakistan, I am sure most Pakistanis would love to visit Sri Lanka.

Haven't you tried before through LTTE, and failed miserably? Pakistan has a;ways supported SriLanka in it's war against indian terrorism and indian supported an dfunded terrorists, and will keep doing so in the future.

if we really wanted to crack sri lanka, do u think we would have failed? after all, we did crack your country in 2 weeks remember?

as last time i checked sri lanka was sovereign country and it was not belong to father of indians :no: they have every right to do and invite anyone as india has .

Chinese Military Delegation visits Sri Lanka

A Chinese military delegation, currently in Sri Lanka on a friendly familiarization tour, called on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya at his office on Thursday morning.

The military delegation, headed by Senior Colonel W.U Xiaoyi of the Army was accompanied to the Commander’s office at Army Headquarters by Mr Wu Jianghao, Ambassador for People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka.

The delegation, comprised of Senior Colonel W. U Xiaoyi, Colonel He Zhoujin, Colonel Guo Hongtao, Lieutenant Colonel Cui Zhipeng and Lieutenant Zbang Heng had a round of friendly exchange of views on matters of military importance and ongoing training programmes in both armies.

Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya briefed those visiting officers on strategies used during successfully concluded Humanitarian Operations in Wanni. Those visitors were also keen on learning the overall picture of the roles, played by the Army for eradication of terrorism in the country during exchange of views.

Zaroorat aur Himat do alag alag bateen hein, 2001 mein zaroorat pari aur one million fouj India ney border per laga di....phir poura saal taal matool kar key wapis jana para.
 
Pakistan delegation pays a courtesy call to Secretary Defence

A four member Pakistan delegation headed by Lt Gen Ayaz Salim Rana paid a courtesy call to the Secretary Defence and Urban Development this evening at the Ministry premises.

The deligation comprised of Brig Azar Ghori, Brig Tariq Javed Rehan and Brig Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan.

During the meeting, a cordial discussion was held between the Secretary Defence and the delegation on the matters of bilateral interest.

Mementoes were exchanged between Secretary Defence and Lt Gen Ayaz Salim Rana to mark the occasion.
