thats not true. even dara weapon makers have gone high tech and are using very advance machinery.
so reliability is not an issue. even metallurgy is not an issue as even on this account they have gone high tech or they import high quality barrels.
but having said that every weapon type comes in different grades and quality and are priced accordingly. eg one can buy a .30 TT for as low as 2000 and as high as 16000.

That's a pretty clean copy. I remember one of our Jawans getting a Norinco Black Star clone from Darra for PKR 7000 and it even had the small Chinese writing up top!

Darra has some serious talent..govt should promote it for positive use and start a proper arms manufacturing industry for export. beside these skills can also be utilized for industrial manufacturing.

These Pakistani Weapon makers know how to make & This is the most important thing while other nations are spending billions to get "know how" for making indigenous weapons.Seems like those makers of Pakistan are on this business for more than three decades. What Pakistan defense Industry should do is make them acquainted with advanced weapon design and also help them to get a proper job for the benefit of Pakistan ammunition & weapons Industry.Even they may come up with some innovations to make lethal weapons like AK-47 or M-16.The only caution is not to let them to be used by rogues which may bring anarchy inside or outside of Pakistan.
