And what would be the point to that?
Lets say all Muslim countries vote for removal of Israel from UN - what next? Should Israel be removed because the likes of pitiable countries say so?

The point of UNSC was that it would be a forum where none of the great powers could use proxies to act against each other directly. For example, if UN was acting against Soviet Union, SU could simply veto any proposal. That was a weapon of defense.

Or the number of times that US supported Pakistan on the Kashmir cause and wanted India sanctioned, but SU/Russia vetoed it.

These vetos do have a value and are still needed in the future to prevent tyranny of the majority(or tyranny of a minority supported by apathy of the majority). I say this as a citizen of a country who does not have veto, but we all do recognize the value of it.

The nature of the world have changed. You example of Israel is poor, as there would obviously be safe guards in place of such things. Vetos are unneeded, and do more damage than good.

It doesn't matter what the intention behind the unsc was, what matters is how it is being run, which is a terrible thing.

Maybe so, but none of the big countries in the world are in turmoil because of UN. At best only small states suffer because of UN.
If we remove the veto, then it would usher in another era of destabilization of big countries particularly ganging up of Western countries, supported by the usual Muslim groupings(led by Saudi Arabia) against Russia, China, India.

Veto as flawed as it is, it is better to have it than not in UNSC.

Removing the veto doesn't mean that there shouldn't be another safeguard to replace it. The veto is unneeded, and it's purpose can be easily replaced.

As for your claim of "ganging up", I highly doubt it.
