Pakistan loses UNHRC seat

Bhai, our diet is not luxurious and used to eating simple food, sleeping on floors on mats, so the 35 million is a good reserve faurj and can be afforded Almost 50% of our defence spending goes into paying for wages, pensions, perks. Sorjnia ki baat hai

True! We are not literate in battlefield tactics and that is why we ask the faurj to teach us. Why don't they? As for theology is concerned this is something we have some knowledge in. Yeh ''kudos'' korn hai?

@Azad-Kashmiri watch your language please, you are not here to distribute certificates of other's piety and loyalty. I suggest you stick to the discussion and leave the fatwas for another time.

As for the decrease the size of the Army and keep the national citizenry as a well-trained reserve force argument, it has been tried, tested and failed multiple times in recent history and most spectacularly in the case of the JNA which adopted this as their combat doctrine. As a result, the nation fell into absolute chaos, the military training that had been imparted to the citizens became the very skill set they utilized to carry out some of the worst massacres on European soil since WWII.

In a country like Pakistan which is already at war with the radical right, attempting any such plan would be a kin to looking down your own rifle's barrel and then pulling the trigger to enjoy the fireworks.

Excellent rebuttal.

I suggest you reread what was said and comprehend in reply to his grotesque assertion, however I don't hold my breath with people like you.

Those are you opinions and I don't respect them; we don't put our lives, honour of our women in hands of sell-out gormant. We live on the front line and we know what goes on in IOK.

No we're NOT! How did this ''war'' start? Was there insurrection pre-2001? No! You know Pashtoon are not coward people and it's in their culture of taking revenge for the murder from Amrka drone attacks. Even Asad Durani in Al-Jazeera said this. I saw this on PDF post, he said, ''....the Army is not at war with TTP, it's a SHOW!... We tell them when we're about to launch an operation....We are only at war with SEPARATISTS, and foreigners AQ, Chechans, Uzbekistans....TTP want Islamic system...''

I suggest you watch the whole interview and post sensibly otherwise your ''counter terrorism title'' becomes questionable.

No questions at all my good man, just the ramblings of a delusional, self-assured man who has not the faintest idea of the matters he seems to discuss with such authority.

1. The system of "Batmen" or orderlies was abolished by Gen Pervez Musharraf in 2004.
2. 50% of the defence budget is not spent on pensions, and the Army is not the only pension-paying institution, it is common to all lines of government service.
3. The money for these "plots" is deducted from an Army Man's pay from the day he joins and the plot is only handed over when he makes the remaining payment for the plot which meets the market price of the land.

Having an uncle who is a retired Major and a cousin serving in a branch I'm not allowed to say, I know what goes on. I'm hear to speak the truth and expose the corruption and it us who ate the grass when Bhutto made that speech, not the filth that rules us or those protecting them.

P.S you can add a negative rating here. What kind of shallow person are you who thinks i care about this!

Multiple rereads and I still come to the same conclusion that you seem to have a penchant for projecting yourself as the fountain of piety on this forum.

That is in no way relevant to what was said and that is not an opinion, it is a historically verified. What part of the post came off as an opinion to you? The doctrine of the JNA? The genocide? Or that Yugoslavia collapsed?

I am half Pushtun, and I have also had the chance to serve in FATA and Swat. Pakistan is not at war with Pushtun's, that is an assertion that Taliban apologists like yourself want to concoct so you can cling on to some shred of legitimacy. If that were the case, then the largest lashkar in pushtun history, the Salarzai Lashkar, would not have been convened in support for the Army in Bajaur Agency. Your argument is hot air and little more.

I suggest you watch the whole interview and post sensibly otherwise your ''counter terrorism title'' becomes questionable.

If a single interview is what would be required for me to be eligible for this title then I question the very rationale of holding it in the first place.

It's likely not because of the PMLN diplomacy that caused the seat loss. A lot of things have happened in the last few years, this was likely due to the loss of support from the Arab nations, whom are still upset that Pakistan won't fight their sectarian war. One can hardly call that PMLN's fault, as NS put it up for a vote and almost all the parties voted against going to war.

Of course Pakistan was going to lose this seat, but I can tell you right now, it's temporary.

Canada lost it's seat at the UNSC, and a number of UN committees because of similar reasons, but that was temporary, and will likely regain them.

No.

And Isolate Pakistani permanently? Either you're a false flagger, or just stupid: probably the first one.

How does it matter if you loose your seat man...That UN thing is an useless organization...

Ah yes, the old and always useful opportunistically placed third cousin and retired uncle who cannot be mentioned but they seem to have told everyone incriminating details about a criminal enterprise that has been masquerading as a military for decades. The depth of your argument and your well-placed sources are most impressive.

I'm glad you don't care but you fully deserved it.

It's handicapped, not useless. I HAS done a lot of good through it's peacekeeping operations, and HAS averted many crises by giving nations a neutral platform for diplomacy.

The problem isn't the UN, it's the UNSC. The UNSC has become a dictatorship, and handicapped the UN from doing what it is suppose to do. The UNSC needs reformation; my suggestion is removing all permanent seats, along with vetos, and having a voting process for the seats that are available.

Also, turn the UNGC into a sort of parliament, where resolutions and treaties can be debated by the international community. This would democratize the UN, and would lead to less tensions, as it would be majority rule.

If you want to believe his lies you are free to do so. It is a shame people on both sides of the border resort to lies to defend their position and this is my experience on this forum.

Don't believe his lies. Here are the links relating to Pak faurj corruption. The Batman system was reintroduced by the corrupt ginral kiyyani.

PAKISTAN: Military corruption robs country's poor

The idiot thought my uncle, retired Major told me about the corruption. You idiot I LOOK at him and say the FAURJ is corrupt. Another cousin who is in unmentionable branch and still serving just built a 60-70 lak property from the corrupt faurj. There are many stories from Agosta B corruption to F-16s. Lets not forget the fuarji cornflakes, faurji cement, logistics companies, etc, etc. Is this a faurj or a business? A faurj that owns a country!

These people are LIARS! May Allah remove the corrupt dogs and bless us with rightous ginrals. Amin.

You are an Indian, tell me is your CoAS chosen by Amrika, or Rusia? Quote me if the lying secularists ever challenge Indians when they say our country is not working for Amrika.

And what would be the point to that?
Lets say all Muslim countries vote for removal of Israel from UN - what next? Should Israel be removed because the likes of pitiable countries say so?

The point of UNSC was that it would be a forum where none of the great powers could use proxies to act against each other directly. For example, if UN was acting against Soviet Union, SU could simply veto any proposal. That was a weapon of defense.

Or the number of times that US supported Pakistan on the Kashmir cause and wanted India sanctioned, but SU/Russia vetoed it.

These vetos do have a value and are still needed in the future to prevent tyranny of the majority(or tyranny of a minority supported by apathy of the majority). I say this as a citizen of a country who does not have veto, but we all do recognize the value of it.
