Tanks are not going anywhere, atleast in Sub continent and middle east. Boots on ground and force multipliers will never go out of vogue. Those who will win will have to get down and get dirty. Air power and missiles will be the deciding factor who can retain their strength on ground but war at the end of the daywill always be fought on ground

15 systems of LY-80 (HQ-16A) MR-SAM have now been delivered to PAF. The systems use the IBIS-150 radar. Hundreds of missiles have also been procured

The deal was signed in late 2013 and is valued nearly 1.1 billion USD.

PAF is planning to order 15 additional systems of HQ-16 SAM (LY-80 or the improved HQ-16B variant) to provide air defence to all of its airfields.

Another deal for HQ-9 SAM is being negotiated with CPMIEC. The feasibility of integrating the system with LY-80 has been completed by Pakistan.
