Plutonium as a metal is really hard to work with ..
try asking someone who is responsible for machining it.

Keeping Pu warheads safe and mounting them is another problem.

Lastly, why would you want to put a nuclear device on an unguided device.

Absolutely wrong, I know a whole lot to tell you it’s not as compared to other unstable elements. However, yield is higher for a smaller amount of plutonium as compared to other fission devices... the last point unguided systems or battle field nukes can be artillary shells, unguided or short range guided systems
