Around 2010, Army started evaluations of a 300mm MRLS and the A-100 was a choice. After initial acceptance, limited numbers were acquired and based on this announcement, I gather the Army is looking to scale out the acquisition.
They raised MLRS regiments with these.

You probably know where in Panjab..

This news is about a new Missile/rocket than the A-100s it seems.

no need to waste hardware on a piece of crap like the s400. just simply flooding it with fake signals will suffice like how the americans did over Syria.

The military on Friday announced that it has inducted an indigenously developed A-100 rocket as part of its Multiple Launch Rocket System of the artillery corps.

"With a range of over 100 kilometres, the rocket is a highly effective and potent interdiction that can effectively disrupt [the] enemy's mobilisation and assembly," read a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

According to the ISPR, a ceremony was held to mark the induction with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, the army chief paid "rich tributes to scientists and engineers for indigenously developing [the] A-100 Rocket which shall augment the existing conventional firepower capabilities of Pakistan Army".

Gen Bajwa emphasised the army's resolve to strengthen its conventional capabilities so "the challenge of a full spectrum threat can be met successfully".

The army chief lauded the role of the defense industry which has "maintained steady progress in the recent times and has contributed to the defence of Pakistan", the ISPR said.

Pakistan Army inducts A-100 Rocket in Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) of its Corps of Artillery. A- 100 Rocket has been indigenously developed by Pakistani scientists and engineers. With over 100 kilometers range the Rocket is a highly effective and potent for interdiction that can effectively disrupt enemy’s mobilization and assembly.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) was chief guest at the induction ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, COAS paid rich tributes to scientists and engineers for indigenously developing A- 100 Rocket which shall augment the existing conventional fire power capabilities of Pakistan Army. COAS emphasised Pakistan Army’s resolve to strengthen conventional forces to meet challenges of full spectrum threat. COAS said that Pakistani defence industry has maintained steady progress in the recent times and has contributed to defence of Pakistan.
