No it isn't you are talking about. Since nowhere in the source it says" state police". It can be some paramilitary which used to guard border or some border patrol police. At least "state police" is not mentioned anywhere in your source.
What the? Tripura wasn't a "state" until 1970... Paramilitaries are referred as soldiers or jawans. Even if they were paramilitary, it is a big thing to take on enemy army that too take down an officer? Speaks highly of paramilitary unit involved.....
