Pakistan India Border Skirmish 1958 East Pakistan

And who was that officer to be captured? according to the OP it was Tripura police chief!! Never mind that Tripura was just a district and not a separate state until 1970!! That is why you need to repeat this over and over to believe....

That officer was from Indian army. Don't know about OP where he took this story from but as per official account of Major Tufail's heroics, he killed an Indian army officer and not some Tripura police officer.

So this is the official story. You don't believe it. Good. Who the **** cares anyways.

Pakistan can claim entire regiment of Indian army was wiped out. Infact, it did so when every one else knew the truth. So, the links you have given means nothing but hot air. I have been searching net for 3 hours to find a single reference, only I could find 1 reference which puts casualties as 2 Indian police men KIA and 2 PA KIA. No prisoners taken. Implies

ighly of police force though...

PS: The place is "Lakhimpur". And wiki as source????

So at least you admit the incident? Good. Not our problem who was manning the post. We fought what we found there and took back our territory.

Admitting the incident and admitting the way it was/is being told are 2 entirely different things... I am not averse of truth, but I hate propaganda...

You admitted the incident. Good. Who knows the way incident presented to you in that source is propaganda and not vice versa. The important thing is admission of the incident which you have made. Nice. :)

Why wouldn't I admit the incident? I mean, our policemen armed with .303s owned PA and took down 2 of them (including a Major!!) while 2 of them made supreme sacrifice. Hell, I will admit 100 such incidents even though they never happened...

So you accept your version of propaganda but reject others version calling it propaganda. And they you admit it despite saying it never happened.

You have started to make no sense. Makes us feel even better.

There no your version or my version in facts. And this was a foreign publication, Keesing's Contemporary Archives.
If you are so sure that events happened as you describe, you would have named the captured "officer" long ago. Op would never have made some pure rubbish claim as fighting BSF and capturing Tripura police chief.. that is why you need to repeat these things 1000s of times while I can simply look at any credible source
PS: Military medals are awarded in 2 situations, fantastic bravery and incredible screw-ups. We can guess which situation was this one..

Plus the state police is worst trained force in India able to kill a Pak major along with other infantryman.

Who knows that foreign publication was also quoting Indian propaganda. May be the officer was named. I have read some where he was some Lieutenant Colonel. This is the official account. Your admission of this incident is enough for us since you backtracked from earlier denial. Incident happened. We regained our territory. You admitted it. End of story. Now you can guess all you want. Doesn't matter to us.

The foreign source of your friend never states it was "state police". :)

Yeah, that is what I am talking about...

No it isn't you are talking about. Since nowhere in the source it says" state police". It can be some paramilitary which used to guard border or some border patrol police. At least "state police" is not mentioned anywhere in your source.

Ha ha... I have to thank go that you did not say he was a 6-star general. I mean, you should know if it were true, you decorated a soldier highest award!! It is way too funny when it is me who provides the source and actual incident and you think you scored a point? I got 3 letters for you LOL

I should stick to Pakistani source for the sake of the thread i.e it was BSF who manned that post in 1958

P.S According to official Indian south State police force guards the international Border prior to BSF

not scoring a point. I already said. You don't believe in the incident. Good. We would believe in it and would tell our children about it. You don't matter to us. It is just good on your part that you searched and admitted the truth.
