The largest silver ring weighs 71.680 kg (158.03 lbs) and has an inner diameter of 85 cn (2 ft 9 in). It consists of 97.83percent pure silver and was created by Amin & Company (Pakistan). It was presented and measured in Lahore, Pakistan on 18 August 2010.

Engro Starts the Worlds Biggest Urea Plant in Pakistan, The new urea plant of Engro Corporation Limited started production on Wednesday, which analysts said would end dependence on imports.

The plant is owned by the Engro Corp’s non-listed subsidiary, Engro Fertliser, and has a capacity to produce 1.3 million tonnes of urea on an annual basis.

The addition of one-billion-dollar plant would reaffirm Engro’s second position in the domestic urea market after Fauji Fertiliser, increasing its share from the current 16 percent to 32 percent.

The total demand for urea in the country ranges from 6.1 to 6.5 million tonnes, as per the latest data and is destined to grow amid post-flood agricultural activities. This year, the shortfall remained around 600,000 tonnes and was met through imports.

Pakistani performs world record 2,503 push-ups

SHEIKHUPURA: Pakistani wrestler Munir Ahmed registered his name amongst world record holders with his herculean 2,503 push-ups on Monday.

The phenomenal struggle, which bettered an Indian’s record, lasted for an hour and 25 minutes.

The world-record-setting demonstration was witnessed by thousands of spectators in Sheikhupura’s Company Bagh.

Munir Ahmed told the media that he was ecstatic at this feat for his country and in a show of patriotism and empathy for his fellow countrymen, he announced that all the proceeds from the event will be donated to flood victims.

Last month, Pakistan set another world record when 19 girls managed to fit in a Smart Car in Karachi, breaking the previous record of 18.
