Yes better to have people like you lobbying instead surely.
Absolutely not! Countries need the best sharks they can afford from inside the Beltway.

Absolutely not!
Absolutely correct!
A start is better than no start. "Starting to build a skyscraper from midair at the 10th floor on upwards is not likely to work very well. Please dream on! "
Not applicable. That comment was said in response to the workforce development thread, and does not apply to hiring a lobbyist in DC.
"Scandals" like the one you highlighted (where Reynolds was not convicted of anything) are commonplace in DC. Going by your reasoning a country that is practically bankrupt should pay the best firm or no firm.
Twisting words to keep your smallfloppy happy eh?
I said a BETTER firm and lobbyist than Tom Reynolds would have been a BETTER choice, of which there are many. How did you get from that to "best firm or no firm"? Apparently, reasoning is not your strength, is it?
We dont have an active ambassador in US. We used to have a stooge at place, having no work and keeping his pockets filled with money.
Are you talking about the current ambassador? Compared to his predecessors, he's doing a good -- and hard -- job of lobbying Congress.
But still, there's a lot of work to do besides hiring a lobbying firm.
1. Pakistan is weak on public diplomacy, especially in interfacing with US media, think tanks, etc.
2. It needs to work harder to work with Pakistan-American community on getting its message out.
3. Pakistan needs to do a better job branding themselves, which will include a major PR push.
A good lobbyist will work with whatever positive material they are provided with, or can spin appropriately, to the best possible effect for their client.
I was hinting at a more holistic approach. Lobbyists are one part of what needs to be a multi-prong process.

Someone who belongs to the race and nation that calls for the death and destruction of the Pakistani race and nation will REALLY know what's good for lobbying Pakistan's interest at the White House.................it's like German Nazis lobbying for Jewish interests.........
these firms will only suck money with no output, they are not much needed if our foreign Minister and staff at Pakistani embassy is active and does their job in good manner
