What's new

Pakistan has taken the lead role in saving world cricket from disaster

Taking control of ICC is bit much but do tell me .. why should we share the revenue earned by us with you folks or any other board for that matter ?

Its simple. BCCI, ECB and CA have been shoring up the other boards for a long period of time.
Let ICC be a revenue neutral body. with every board having to contribute an equal amount and then preach for equal shares.

No more handouts, no more free lunches. If you cant contribute monetarily which you probably cant given the sorry state of affairs financially PCB, BCB etc is in, either accept 2nd class citizenship of ICC or form your own version of ICC. This is ridiculous. How on earth can you guys claim an even share of the profits ?

Sharam naam ka cheez hai ki nahi ?
bhai aap apna satte me earn kia ho paisa lo aur dafa ho joa, aap ko kon keh raha he ap kisi se share karo, magar aap haram tareke se earn kya hua money peh kaise itra sakte ho?

BCCI earn 80-90% from match fixing in IPL, im sure of that, ICC should put a ban on IPL and temperory ban on BCCI

The ICC Board unanimously supported the following principles:

There will be an opportunity for all Members to play all formats of cricket on merit, with participation based on meritocracy; no immunity to any country, and no change to membership status.

A Test Cricket Fund paid equally on an annual basis to all Full Members (except the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia and the England and Wales Cricket Board) will be introduced to encourage and support Test match cricket.

A larger percentage from the increasing Associate Members' surplus will be distributed to the higher performing non-Full Members.

Mutually agreed bi-lateral FTP Agreements which will be legally binding and bankable and will run for the same period as the ICC commercial rights cycle (2015-2023).

Recognition of the need for strong leadership of the ICC, involving leading Members, which will involve BCCI taking a central leadership responsibility.

A need to recognise the varying contribution of Full Members to the value of ICC events through the payment of 'contribution costs'.

The establishment of an Executive Committee (ExCo) and Financial & Commercial Affairs Committee (F&CA) to provide leadership at an operational level, with five members, including BCCI, CA and ECB representatives. Anybody from within the Board can be elected to Chair the Board and anybody from within ExCo and F&CA can be elected to Chair those Committees. With the ICC undergoing a transitional period that includes a new governance structure and media rights cycle, this leadership will be provided for two years from June 2014 by: a BCCI representative to Chair the ICC Board, a CA representative to Chair the ExCo and an ECB representative to Chair the F&CA.

A new company will be incorporated to tender future commercial rights for ICC events. There will be three major ICC events in each four-year cycle, including the ICC Champions Trophy which will replace the ICC World Test Championship.

ICC will utilise a more efficient operating model for all ICC events, with a simplified accounting model across ICC income and expenditure to help better manage ICC administrative and event costs.

You are quoting from the original draft..but a redrawn draft was submitted by BIG 3 later on and ICC has accepted every principle put forth in it.

I am quoting from here , now see it for yourself , what part is it referring to . The one presented first or the one watered down to no end because of the widespread and popular rejection ? The Big 3 cant do jack without the resilient four opposing them at ICC .

Morally high demand
-> Finances. Yes India is a big country and ICC should not give the same amount to say West indies and India, India deserves more and I support this logical reasoning

Morally low demand
-> Tier system. India is perhaps one of the worst teams these days, if we judge them on the basis of their overseas record, yet they cannot be relegated , and similarly with england and australlia is pure bullshit

-> Committee members. Well the world's largest democracy must support a democratic atmosphere not create security councils with veto powers

That's my summary of the whole affair

It was ICC which was involved in conspiracy against Pakistan team during Zardari era.

.
All top rated teams of Cricket world are against this deal. Let India play three some .
Pakistan is not top rated team. Australia, England, and India are top rated team and they all in favor of deal. From top rated, only south Africa is against this deal after Pakistani lobbying.

Actually you were quoting from another article that reads

'Unanimous support' for draft principles - ICC

Basically BCCI had retained its key demands (read central leadership role and financial re-balancing). Who cares if Bangladesh retains Test status, or one more member from weak 7 is added to the board as long as key decisions are made by BIG 3 owing to their permanent numerical superiority (3 over 2) in the board. Effectively ICC will be controlled by BIG 3 with BCCI as their leader.

India should keep its money and leave the ICC. Stop corrupting the sports

@Sunny009

Open the Link which I posted above and check if it contains the content from my earlier post or not . I didn't quote anything from the original draft as it couldn't make it way through ICC . Basically , the leadership isn't limited to the three boards as envisioned and the same goes for the financial committee which ai'nt getting any permanent big three members chairing the committee but diversifies power to other boards too . There is no immunity to relegation for Australia , England and India and no special treatment either . You can keep your money isolated and spend it on yourself . But even that , hasn't been accepted yet . Read this .
The first sign of any opposition to the "position paper" came late on Monday, when the PCB, CSA and SLC asked for a deferral of the proposals, after which the BCB became the first board to formally communicate to the ICC on Tuesday that it was "against" the proposal. According to one insider, none of the Big Three pressed for voting, "since they knew that a vote wouldn't be feasible. The next round of negotiations, read bargaining, begins now." A follow-up meeting will be held to discuss the proposals again next month.

A few hours after the ICC sent its press release, the PCB issued a statement saying, "no decision with regard to any proposed changes as per the Position Paper submitted by BCCI, CA and ECB have been made in today's ICC Board meeting. The PCB clearly stated at the meeting that the guiding principles were subject to PCB's Governing Board's approval. These matters will be placed before the BOG (board of governors) and thereafter PCB will take its position at the next ICC Board meeting."

CSA also sent out a release to "clarify" the ICC's statement, and said its board would meet soon to discuss the principles. "The support is subject to the approval of the respective Boards of the member countries after which a final decision will be taken at a follow-up ICC Board meeting on February 8," the release said. In a statement from the BCB, acting CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhary said, "We have communicated to the ICC Board that the BCB will not endorse any proposal that compromises Bangladesh's full member rights in terms of status and participation. We respect the views of the member countries who have expressed similar sentiments."*

An official from one of the other seven boards said the term "unanimous" support was a "misleading" one. "We were offered amended terms and we will take them back to our Board and discuss it - there is nothing to that. They are only trying to mislead the world public with the statement." The ICC sought to redress the impression that there was a contradiction between its statements and those of the dissenting boards. Its procedures mean that the distance to be covered between a set of agreed principles turning into actions can be considerable, with the principles covering a vast umbrella of categories: from a set of actions that could be immediately executed, those that would require a period of time, decisions by their board as well as constitutional amendments

Bhai sharjah mai satta tum khelte the..saare sattebaz tumhari team mai bhare the aur tum hume suna rahe ho.2 paise khud k board se kamaye nahi jaate, humare peeche pade rehte ho ki pakistan k saath khelo aur hume hi keh rahe ho ki bahg jao.The way Pakistan is a liability on this world, the same way your board/team is a liability on ICC.

lol, woh bhi saare india ke juwari satte baaz hote the, tumhare satte ke bohu bade market he, banye ko money banana aata he, tabhi satte me itna agye h

Opposing the draft is not right...opposing certain sections is correct way to do it. Changes karke hi draft pass hoga. Relegation aur India's participation in ICC events were used as bargaining chips to get a 'yes' for revenue and ICC chairman clauses which has now been agreed to. So in the end the same happened what BCCI-ECB-CA wanted. Aur un clauses ko rok ke kuch boards hero ban rahe hai which were intentionally put up so that they can be struck off in the end after their real demands are met . Aren't people aware of the term 'politics' here..lol
