Pakistan fortifies border with Afghanistan to reduce cross border attacks

Your country... helped another country bomb the hell out of their country for one full decade .. and then supported people who are blowing their people apart... and you expect love?.... High hopes you have...
Was your country supporting the bomber (US) Or was supporting the opposite side i.e. the Taliban .... oh wait thats what Pakistan is accused of !

Remember when afghanis were supposed to sell this fence to scrap shop? I wouldn't advice them to be near it.

good video

Remember few years ago people said its impossible to secure and fence border? When you set something to do it then everything is possible. I see different Pakistan in 2020, one where terrorism is rare and illegals like afghanis and bengalis are out.

Its your fencing, you'll have unhindered control who comes in and goes out. You could let out good taliban and not let in bad Taliban. Is it not logical? what is there not to understand the Afghan opposition to it?
A locked door will keep people inside the room inside and, the outside on the outside; fence or walls will work that way - barbed wire or fence will be equally hard to cross from Pak side as it will be from Afghan side. When this is all done, authorized persons will be allowed to cross from controlled entry/exit points. If Afghans have an issue with who we are allowing from our side, then they can setup checkpoints on the same locations as our entry points. There is also an offer of joint border management from Pakistan; even if thats not acceptable Afghans can build a fence and border management on their side ... with US with them who has already spent a trillion dollar on this war already - what more would 600-700$ millions matter on fencing the Afghan side (same estimate as Pak) . Trump himself is a pro wall/fence person - so he wont be hard to convince.

At the end of the day Afghans need to be responsible for controlling their side of the border and controlling all of their citizens - which includes the taliban - and reclaim sovereign control of 40% territory they have lost to the Taliban.

But it is also my observation that Afghan are really objecting to border fencing because they don't recognise the durand line. Give in to their claim they'll happily fence it for you.

Their claims are on entire KPK and Balochistan - basically the Indus river which wont need to be fenced as the river will divide it. So yes your solution is to give Afghanistan half of Pakistans territory and population.

Well there was a country that played both sides... Hosted Bin Laden and hosted American Drones... Guess which one...

Do you have anything meaningful to add in response to my reply to your original post i.e. Pakistan siding with the nation, US, that bombed the Afghans and how that was a source of hatred against Pakistan? So that would mean before US bombing, the Afghans had no hate for Pakistan? And If they hate Pakistan for supporting US then they should equally hate India; and probably they should hate the actual nations who bombed Afghanistan i.e. US + NATO?
What this shows is that you have a fascist bias against Pakistan, and all you can come up with is just weak incoherent rhetorical rants - which are so easy to dissect and disprove.

PS: There is a difference between hosting and somebody hiding in your country - look up how Nazis escaped and lived in US and especially the South Americas.

Then just call the PCB chairman.
Why should i call him when he is only highlighting what we already know about the diyati aurat.

I am interested in facts not your temple narrative. How did we help another country bomb their country? Are you forgetting how India offered its bases to the US even though India did not had a border with Afghanistan on a condition that US first takes out Pakistan? This is how low you guys went in your enmity towards Pakistan.
Afghanistan would had been bombed either way and this is their own doing not ours.

Here you go: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/12/world/asia/cia-leaves-pakistan-base-used-for-drone-strikes.html
Now you can not leave an air base till the time you are in one... Right...

And worlds knows the very famous ..Abbotabad Raid. google and enjoy ...

This was after US had already started bombing and that based was used for strikes inside Pakistan. At least check your facts before posting. from the article:

"ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — The Central Intelligence Agency has vacated an air base in western Pakistan that it had been using for drone strikes against militants in the country’s tribal areas, the Pakistani military said on Sunday.

Now you can not leave an air base till the time you are in one... Right...

So? what does this suppose to mean. Shamsi airbase was closed in 2011. And for your poor information the same based was used to strike inside Pakistan. US did not needed a base from Pakistan to strike in Afghanistan. Had that been the case why are strikes still happening in side Afghanistan? Again from your link:

"But a senior American counterterrorism official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the drone operations at Shamsi were classified, said that vacating the base would not end American counterterrorism operations in Pakistan. “The United States retains robust capabilities to fight Al Qaeda and its militant allies,” the official said. “Our operations will continue.

It wouldn't hurt if you read a bit before copy pasting articles from google.

Last i checked Abbotabad is in Pakistan, not Afghanistan and we were discussing Pakistan helping another country bomb Afghanistan. Makeup your mind what do you want to debate about?

So for almost a decade US used Shamsi Airbase to bomb Afghanistan... and Pakistan is trying to wash its hands off.. Abbotabad is place where Osama Bin Laden was killed... Thank god you agree that its inside Pakistan...

So in short.. Pakistan was hiding Osama Bin Laden ..and helping CIA fly drones that killed Afghans in the name of Killing Osama Bin Laden and company... the guy that was hiding inside Pakistan....LOL

Why are you feeding full paragraphs of replies to a troll anyways?

clearly you dont understand international dynamics and how intelligence agencies operate. somethings cant ever make sense to you, like CIA flew drones and surveillance even covered most parts of Pakistan, even then OBL couldnt be monitored and detected with all the tech, spy satellites and intel, for a decade. and Pakistan was hiding OBL so casually that he wasnt even protected or hidden, who Just lived openly under the sun with his family, where he could be viewed by US drones, satellites etc every day. On top of all this, his body was never shown in media. After OBL died, USA is still hunting his likes 7 years on and will continue to do so in coming years. you are failing miserably to be logical.

Looks like fencing is working on east and west side of the border at the same time, Indians are more bothered by it then, Afghans.

Will the army patrol the border once the fence is completed? Wouldn't it be better to gradually involve the Levies and Khasadr forces to help patrol the border with the army ready on standby to offer support? Obviously both the Levies & Khasadar forces will have to be retrained an fully equipped by the army.
FC has been given training, weapons, equipment and More wings have been made. Its FC job to patrol and man the border, not PA's. Khasadar and Levies are like local Police forces in Tribal areas which can assist FC.

In any case, approach should be to use paramilitary forces on western border so Indian plans to force PA to spread across the whole country can be minimised and stopped.
