China is an insular country, we have always looked inwards. Which is both a strength and a weakness.

If you look at the statements of our leaders, our goals are very modest. Deng Xiaoping - "Never take the lead, but aim to do something big."

I think the friendship between China and Pakistan will last for a very long time.

Well if you look at the Pak-US relationship from just a few decades ago it went through the same trajectory.....

Nevertheless, for Pakistan's sake, I hope thats true......they are in need of some true friends, at least right now.

The relationship between Pakistan and China is different - as between Pak-USA, for 1 we are neighbors, 2 we began our relationship back when China was not a global power, thirdly the PRC also is a true friend - and is willing to treat us as an equal.
