DCNS didn't oppose when Babur SLCM was integrated with the Agosta 90B's. DCNS offered to upgrade the Agosta's. STM offered a better package and was selected.

is it not that after certain number of years the product no longer requires permission from the nation of origin to make mods and re-conditioning of products? like Blk15 F16 no longer need permission from the US to tamper with!

REHIS is Aselsan's "Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems Business Sector" - i.e. business group. But yes, it is likely referring to the ARES-2SC/NS, which will give our Agosta 90B SSPs actual ELINT capabilities.

France isn't as controlling as the U.S. Besides, DCNS is just a shipbuilder, like STM it too would have just gone out and sub-contracted the electronics work to other companies. Integration work is a separate area and you don't have to loop in the ship (or aircraft) platform builder.

Turkey is really like Germany in term of Engineering , we are lucky to be in such a circumstance to collaborate with Turkey.

I think the first time I ever saw product manufacturing quality from Turkish company I was really left with a solid impression the work quality is similar to that of Germans

But obviously Turkish products are tremendous local effort
