As long as the Pakistani army and the Americans are interfering don't expect anything.

The issue is much deeper than that, it's a sociocultural issue.

Everyone is selfish and corrupt, they serve themselves not our national interests. Whether that is a politician, a judge or a general.

Even if the army kept a monopoly on everything, if they had implemented a system of meritocracy, and curtailed nepotism and corruption, you wouldn't be in the extreme mess we are in currently.

I agree with most of your post except for the part that I highlighted. South Korea and China were absolute sh*tholes. South Korea's economic situation started improving under a military dictatorship and China's under an authoritarian regime.

Pakistani society, environment and politics is literally designed for military dictatorship... perhaps should formally give it a try
