This drug may do more harm if taken without prescription. There are cases around the world of this drug's toxicity when taken without prescription.

Some drugs are given only when their side effects become less of a concern than the patient's current condition. If I have read correctly somewhere, critical patients may be given this drug because the patients may die. 85 percent individuals create a sufficient immune response to kill the virus and there's no need for this drug. However, due to illiteracy in Pakistan, people may start gobbling up this drug even if they come under the 85% bucket.

Use your brain for a second. Why do you think they don't have it? The government is stocking up on it because it has, reportedly, potential to assist in treating Coronavirus infected patients.

If they supply these medicines to the medical stores. Two things will happen, which are self evident from a retard like yourself.

2. People will try to self administer themselves with this medicine, and probably kill themselves.

Pakistan has announced that it will donate 500,000 tablets of chloroquine, a medicine useful for the treatment of coronavirus patients, to Italy, the Italian foreign affairs ministry said in a statement on its website.

The statement said “the medications were made available by the local Armed Forces, as confirmed to our Ambassador by the Army Chief of Staff, General Bajwa.”

Italy’s Foreign Affairs Minister Luigi Di Maio appreciated Pakistan’s contribution of medicines at a time when the country is itself experiencing a severe spike in the number of infections.

Coronavirus has claimed over 8,100 lives in Italy and infected some 80,000 people in the country. In Pakistan, at least nine people have died due to the virus and over 12,00 are under treatment at the hospital across the country.

There is a medicine which is used for some other disease like malaria(I think) under prescription. Now, turned out that it might be useful for corona virus patients under regular monitoring albeit with side effects.

Now, if somebody contracts Covid19,he calls on emergency number and an ambulance shows up. If he has positive case then he is quarantined. During those days, it is for doctors to decide whether or not he should be given 'that' medicine and for how long. When it's given, it's given. When they say stop, you stop.

Why would any healthy person go to local pharmacy to buy that drug just in case he catches corona virus and then self medicates? And for how long? What about the side effects? And more importantly what will happen to virus if you indeed have it? Don't you think you will spreading to others especially your loved ones? And what if you never even had the virus then how would you deal with short and long term side effects? This is nothing but stupidity. Do not self medicate/prescribe.

Of course you did not and in your stupidity you went to the drug store based on your whatsapp and FB knowledge that you will get it and when the store refused you (rightly so) you started assuming Pakistan is on shortage. The reason government banned such drugs was because of iditos like you who would start hoarding medicine without giving it a second thought which can create a shortage for those who actually need it.
