There are hundreds of thousands of Iranians living in America despite some of the most hostile diplomatic relationships since 1979. I have faith in American system. Follow the laws, pay taxes, don't mean harm to anyone, wish for the world's humanity... But one can and must--as millions of Americans do--question the govt's policies in private and in public while still continuing to be a decent human being. Me, being of brown skin, doesn't matter to a large degree---except to the gun toting redneck losers! And women love me here, I am married to a beautiful blonde--and that makes the rednecks angry. No kidding.

But there is always Pakistan--I often think of moving back there. Living up in the mountains in the summers and moving down to my city of birth, Karachi, during the winters. Perhaps I will do that before long and not because I don't have a good life here or because I am not 'well adjusted' or because I dislike America--quite the contrary. I just dislike the NeoCon agenda.

As for the visas, I read that there are currently 19,000 Pakistanis studying in Chinese institutions--the 4th largest foreign community in China. Then there are the ever-eager Canadians and other countries willing to take bright young educated folks; indeed, per a recent article by the Times, since Trump came to power the foreign student enrollment in America has declined, with financial losses to American universities.
