US general said India responded militarily and we know India did heavy shelling and so did Pakistan. This is his verbatim. There is no talk of surgical and no sense of crossing into Pakistan. Here is verbatim;

The General specifically talks about a particular set of responses that Pakistan denies. Pakistan doesn't deny cross border firing. Pak denies surgical strikes. So this is what the General is talking about.

he was mentioning cross border firing using heavy weapons which never happened during last 15 years. Border raids are common.
